Depends on if you need the extra sleeping space or just want it. We personally would not. Having the extra solar and the roof space to add more/ rooftop accessories would be more important to us. If we had kids then the pop top would be our choice.

There are so many Class B companies that stick with the rear lounge sofa bed. Nothing in that area has changed in a decade. Midwest, Pleasureway, Grech, etc. Whereas custom, adventure camper vans have been quite innovative, but do not like bathrooms. It is good to see Westfalia provide a decent head with imaginative aft section.
Check out Coachmen 22c Li3...Looks similar to this one and we like the Coachmen better I believe. Never really heard of Westfalia before. Is it new? Thanks for sharing...
The coachmen 22c is a great unit. One of our close friends has one. In person the 22c and this Westfalia look very different, yet a similar floor plan. Materials and such are what sets them apart. Westfalia began in the 1950s and was the first real van. It was always seen as a hippie van because of iconic pictures in the 60s and 70s. Thousands of the original ones on the road still today and they are known for the high quality and iconic look. They decide to bring it back and modernize it.
Well maybe, I had a hippie van, and it was nothing like it. My hippie van in the 70's was a G Dead van...still have never seen a westfalia and the high quality is in the Coachmen that's for sure. But again, I drive a Coachmen. Oh well no big deal. It does seem like everyone just skips by the Coachmen lineup and I just am saying. Thanks for sharing...
We know plenty of coachmen van owners that love them. Quality units. Our friend Theresa who has a UA-cam channel has one and it’s great inside. The Volkswagen Vanagon / Westfalia is arguably the most iconic van ever made. It was very iconic in the 50s, 60s, and 70s and they are still everywhere. Lots of people have bought old ones sitting in fields and restored them.

Agreed on everything! You are spot on. 💯 Westfalia and Panoramic are the two companies standing out to us these days.

Congrats! If we hadn’t just got out Ekko a little over a year ago and were staying with a traditional van… we definitely would be getting one too! 💯
Congrats! Did you order the pop top? Can’t decide if I would go with the pop top or not. You lose some solar and different aircon
@@arkadventure2 no, we didn’t get the pop top. The AC is much louder on the pop top. The Truma AC is very quiet by all reports on the non pop top.

If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd probably buy a Coachman. Like the Ford chassis and the layout.
