Nicola, we rescued a dove who flew into a house where there was an estate auction. I heard a scream, I sprang into action when someone freaked out over a bird flying into a house and landing behind a picture frame. I reached behind the frame and grabbed a baby dove; I held him throughout the auction and took him home. Today. . . 2 years later, my "Malcolm" is still with me. A couple of years ago, in the middle of the night, I was looking at metal detecting video's on UA-cam because I thought that was something I might want to try, and lo and behold, I came across a video of you mudlarking. At first, because I am from Michigan in the states, I fell in love with your beautiful accent. You were all alone and it was so peaceful, just you and the sound of the river. You had only, at that time, found a couple things but the excitement in your voice when you would find something new just drew me in. The joy of each find was contagious and it was right then that I knew we'd be friends forever. I have watched every single video with wonder and delight. Well done for passing the big 100K Nicola, you richly deserve it. I was thinking of you and your pipes the other day when I stumbled across a song by the 17th century Scottish soldier and composer Tobias Hume (c 1579 - 1645 ) The song is called 'Tobacco.' There are a few recordings of it, with lyrics, here on UA-cam and it's a hoot. ps I tried to include a link but UA-cam deleted my post. Anyway, look it up if you like. Cheers !
It was nice to hear from Upwith, the Tideline Art lark. Gentlemen larks often sing loudly to divert the attention of predators away from lady larks and the nest. Baby larks are like Klingons: they only eat food that's moving. With reference to the end credits: Roger Bacon, of Flight International, used to refer to ultralight pilots as "Temporary Members of Society."

What a beautiful day for mudlarking! I love the way you pick up all the orphans and take them home for a second life. The disco dance was so funny. The building looks like there's less plant life at the moment. Such a great fort! All that sunshine really makes for a positive outlook. Be well!

Sooo enjoyable, as ever Nicole, and what a superb site to explore. That fort, beautifully built and a perfect refuge for the wild birds - that pigeon seemed very content with it's home. Sue and Ian, Australia

Thanks so much for your efforts and congrats on reaching 100k (no surprise to me as the content is absolutely marvelous!)!

There are a few recordings of it, with lyrics, here on UA-cam and it's a hoot. ps I tried to include a link but UA-cam deleted my post. Anyway, look it up if you like. Cheers !
Thank you. Sorry I haven't yet had chance to reply to your message yet. busy couple of weeks x
Awesome Nic, the eyes on the island look so very sad, I loved the cutty pipe seems more substantial than usual, keep up the great work girl.🇨🇦🐘🍁⚘
Thanks Matthew xx
Congratulations ! And love the saving of the stuffed animals. You make it so interesting the history of your finds.
Thank you for your great video, lovely scenery, great treasures and the fascinating Hoo Island. ❤️🇦🇺xxx

Truly enjoyed this expedition & the monkey looks very happy on the shelf!
Well done Nicola 👍🍀💯
Gosh I would so love to live on that island in the fort... and love your orphans rescues : )
I love the history lesson from David. I'm glad you included it in the video! Cool spot. In an age where everything old and cool is ripped down and new built. Its nice to see some places left alone
What a beautiful day for mudlarking! I love the way you pick up all the orphans and take them home for a second life. The disco dance was so funny. The building looks like there's less plant life at the moment. Such a great fort! All that sunshine really makes for a positive outlook. Be well!
Thank you
12:48 and in the background as she inspects the plaque. Anyone else see the chubby smiling half face in the background? I know probably isn't one, but it was the first thing I saw.
Hi Nicola ! I live in Medway , not far from the forts , I am a new follower to your mudlarking , and I am hooked !!!! It is fascinating to watch the gems you find with David . The history is amazing . I’m so excited to see what you find on your adventures as you continue xx
Thank you Sally! So glad you enjoy the adventures. The Medway is such a beautiful River!
The skylarks’ songs are gorgeous! Also, the JELLYFISH 😳 Life in the estuary! I’m always amazed at the saltwater sea life that make it into the river.
Sooo enjoyable, as ever Nicole, and what a superb site to explore. That fort, beautifully built and a perfect refuge for the wild birds - that pigeon seemed very content with it's home. Sue and Ian, Australia
As much as I love your commentary your appreciation of the sounds and views of the places and creatures you adventure around adds a level of immersion that sets your videos apart and makes them quite special. Thanks so much for your efforts and congrats on reaching 100k (no surprise to me as the content is absolutely marvelous!)!
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your lovely comment xx
I am most amazed about the “New York” brick. That looks like a good story.
I think I'd drag home at least 1/2 of all the beautiful pottery and interesting bricks I found. Better bring a wheelbarrow! LOL. A lovely video. Thanks, Nicola.
Hello Nicola,
I wish i could be there. Its a amazing nature.
Thank you for the film.
Beautiful day! Beautiful company! Beautiful finds! Beautiful celebration for our Beautiful Nicola!! And the monkey survives!!! I can’t pick a favorite find, they’re all really cool.
Take Care. Congratulations again on your well deserved 100K subs ☀️🍀😘🥰🕊🤍
Ya Beauty 👍
As a doll and stuffed animal restorer, I love that you saved two, especially the monkey. Washed But still damp, if you use a hair blow dryer to fluff them, they drop many years. I tried it on me, but I still look seventy 😏.
Congratulations on you 100K. Here in Georgia, USA we are expecting 4 days of rain so I will be looking forward to your next outing even more that usual. Have a great week. Thanks again for sharing you mudlarking with us.
OMG...100,000 followers! Well done! And to think that I knew you when you only had 30,000!
Thank you for your support xx
Great finds Nicola. Looks lovely travelling around the water. You should name each bear you find lol. Congrats on 100k
Good idea! x
Lovely video Nicola, congratulations on 100k subscribers! I do enjoy your Medway visits as they bring back happy memories of Chatham and Rochester for me. Also the footage of the jellyfish was superb! Many thanks 😊 x
Aww that was a lovely day out back in April last year with you and David! Really enjoyed seeing all the clay pipes and the stuffed toys you keep for the Thames collection on your shelf :) Take care, Nicole & Craig
Nicola, just before 11:50 and the broken pipe, it looks very much like a Royal Marine cap badge that has a world globe as the centre & to the top left I’m sure I saw RM
From left to right I did make “Royal” and round towards right looks to be “marines” spelt out.
Monkey looks as though he is smiling and happy. Thank you Nicola. Another great day with you and your friends. 😊
Glad your art and interests mudlark and wild life and quality videos are getting more.interest * you give us some peace* and calm.sundays* after goin for a walk * i love chillin and viewing your mudlark pipe adventures
Loved the jellyfish turning somersaults. And congratulations again on reaching 100,000 subscribers!
The broken pipe bowl is a Royal Marines one. It has the remains of a globe and royal on it. Very envious too with of the piece of china with the letters RM on it. Congrats on reaching 100,000 subscribers.
Thank you!

Late to watch today. I went on my own beach walk. It wasn't quite a quiet as yours and there were no pipes or forts, but plenty of wildlife and perfect weather as well. I'm glad the monkey survived. He's lucky you found him.
Congratulations on 100,000 viewers. I'm sure that number will only go higher.👍
