These guys are awesome and the editing is amazingly hilarious 😂 thank you for the Knowledge and infinite wisdom
Redbeard, the will Ferrell of welding. Really enjoyed the vid. The editing and cutaways make it. Funny and informative. Cheers
I like that the O-Beam jokes are alive and well.
I'm an ironworker and been dying for the chance to use "O" beam lol
Be patient and wait for the opportune time. It will come 😂
Thanks for another great video! I'm a welding instructor and we watch your videos all the time, very informative with that twist of humor. Keep them coming.
I just drove the welders around and watched them weld the AK Pipeline back in 77, 78, 79, I drove it all from Kuparuk to Valdez. Watching the wizardry welders work was wondrous.
UPDATE: Sorry had to run to town ... honey-do...
Anyway, you guys as a team reminded of the good O' 798's, some master welders, by your dedication to precision, real world knowledge of metallurgy physics and tremendous problem solving skills with a spice of comradery. I've sent several people your way to get the real flavor of welding. I thank it is a fantastic channel.
As a high school instructor looking for decent PG rated instructional videos this is by far the best one 👌. Educational, tip filled, insightful, well put together and best of all funny and entertaining. 👏 👏 👏
Been a pipefitter welder nearly 40 years now accross the pond in the uk, this pipe welder deserves your ear, knows his business.
The working relationship between these 2 is amazing. If you don't have friendly banter at work drag up
Loads of respect for both of you, but for pure entertainment value, you guys are best together.
I'm viewing this video and many of your catalog so I can help out my Mom,Dad, and my grandmas they ain't getting any younger and none the richer either. So thank you for all the eyes on experience and stats to use.
I don’t start welding school until 2021 , yet I spend all my free time on this channel 🤣
Good
Remember, man cannot learn what he thinks he already knows.
Some Yahoo with a grampa welder that matched his pickup tried to tell me about cross country o-beams that we get gas from when I know damn well gas gets to the gas station in a semi 🙄
My dad used to tell a very similar Lone Ranger joke, only he was discussed as a wall.
Thanks for another excellent demonstration and lesson!
That mortal combat skit was awesome!
My wife said I'm lucky I can lay pipe better than I can lay welds.
I'd be flattered, but I'm too hurt.
LMFAO you win
Enjoyed the banter! Editing is getting great guys, Nice work.
Best bromance on the internet!
Ironworkers all the way baby don't get mad pipe welders you guys are badasses too just representing!!!!!
Where has Bob M been? Is he okay I hope?
More bloopers please lmao 🤣 😂
Between the Yello soundtrack and some of your comments this is border line with the backstage of our latest adult calendar photoshoot.
I didn't learn a damn thing but I did have a laugh
Me thinks its about time for Uncle Bob to make a cameo and whoop you two comedians into shape! Great content and entertaining to boot! Rock on!
That bohler wire is the shyyyt 🤘
I love these videos so much, it'll definitely slap.
These are the best videos with these to joking around
Make sure you share it so we can justify making them 😂
This is one of the smartest weld videos ive seen i tell everyone its like caulking
I'm brand new to welding and these are super helpful
Hello from Norway. Lern something new every day. Been a plater/pipefitter/welder depending on the job since 2000. Failed a copple of stick tests and one mig test, but passed all my tig g6 buttwelds both 0-2 mm and 2-15 mm. Only welded 316, duplex and superduplex and had to take my first carbon (no root gass) g6 test for a big job last month. My boss asked me if i needed to come to the shop and do a few test runns but as the welding god i am i said "no i just send in my apprentice to prepp me a pipe and i will finish my job here".
Jesus fucking christ, coudent get the puddel to penetrate on the bottm so root was way to flat, the hottpass was a hott mess, suckback 2 places and just looked like birdshit. But hey the cap was beautiful :)
So after a round on youtube i went from 4mm opening to 3.2, turned amps down 110 (yes i go fast on duplex roots) to 95. went from 0 land to 1 mm. And i started to backfeed the rod (instead of keyhole dip from the outside).
Worst part of it is the carbon crew put upp a big post on every bulletin board in the company and even the webpage, with a big picture of my face and bad root sayng, "WANTED, have anyone seen this person?
I was going to say is you guys are awesome keep up the good work love learning lots to learn
Whoever edited wins. Only mistake: we all know Bob M is the final boss.
More like this please - Great job 👍
Great video! Editing was fantastic thanks for the info
At 5:07, the BM looks at the Pipefitter like baby Yoda learning. LOL! Just busting balls Brother. Love the collaboration though. We use those rods on our pipeline classes for downhill hotfill and cap (and it's pronounced boo-lar. Symantics I know).
30 minutes since posting this video and its already got 3 dislikes?!.... must be 3 viewers that are jealous that they can't get it to slap.
I like the way you think 🤘🔥
Like stupid you just can't fix haters. Little do they know even dislikes count as views. I could have stopped at "little do they know" ... LOL
There are a handful of Sally's out there that I swear subscribe to all the welding vid greats, JUST to immediately dislike them the minute they are released. The aggravated guys who try so hard to be cool, and cant figure out why no one likes them, even After throwing all their co-workers under a bus....have you met one of these? Hahaha I bet you have
Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing this video. I always appreciate your support and your videos.
Awesome work fellas 😂😂
That is amazing detail about the weld puddle
Well covered and explained
I need to ride to Florida! Brian's a good guy worked a job with him!!! Love the vids brother's!!
🤣this was good thanks guys you two work good together and good sense of humor makes videos more enjoyable with a laugh from time to time 🍻
You two should have your own channel lol
Red beard- farts
Iron worker- you’re nose blind to your own stuff
Red beard- ready to closer up?
Perfect opportunity to say “I dunno are YOU?!” 🤣
Not to mention refined grain structure and a stronger weld with a split pass . ( I ❤️ refined grain. Structure )
I would describe millwright work as ironworking with pipe fitup, haha. One thing I wish I payed more attention to in school is pipe welding.
14:30 should have grabbed the fume extractor
Could do an ultrasonic reading to detect porosity in the weld zones after its complete. Not as cool as xray vision but it’ll achieve the same results
Thanks. This video came right on time 🙏🙏🙏🏽
Hilarious! I don’t even remember what the lesson was but this was great
Oh I just love the humor my god I was laughing my arse off for the first 4 mins. Note that I made this comment and paused it at 4 minutes.
Also does anybody else notice slag entrapment on the pipe at 3:54? Lol
The bigger the beard- the tighter the arc.
That was a beautiful beautiful 7018 first pass over the root pass. But the root pass could of been ground out a bit more and looked a little rough from this side of the screen. Great tips though
Dear Professor Is Ask for Pipe X65 and what is better for welding, 7010 or 6010 or 8010
That the stand RB and MC made bout a year ago?
Funny guys. I've never used bohler rods in my everlast welder. I'm not even sure I can buy them in my area.
BOILERMAKERS it's all tubes
The 7018 you're running is it comparable to Atom Arc or Lincoln Murex?
I've seen some wide ass gaps but I got Er done
I'm currently having trouble with undercut on my last pass on a 3 bead cap im using a 3/32 7018 Excalibur rod at 85 amps arc set on soft on a Lincoln invertec I have allowed the pipe to cool down before I started the last pass but still no luck I also have tried pausing longer on the top toe to allow it to fill in I have tried using different work angles what has me stuck is that it only happens on the top bevel the pipe is a 6inch sch 40 any guidance would be highly appreciated
What are those welding rods? 🤔
What’s the difference between pressure pipe and iron worker pipe??
Brian, is there any chance that you made an appearance in the Milwaukee Pipeline event in the section about the new knee pads? There's a guy that looks like you! 😂 Great video like always. Thanks
I find on test when one passroot with tig. Best for me to split one down one-up and onthis way I don't blow thru..if u can hot pass tig. In filed
Red beard are you any good at tig? You should do some tig videos?
"Pure luck" lol
WHAT ARE IW'S DOIN WELDIN PIPE?
WHAT KINDA DEAL YALL GOT WITH THE PIPEFITTERS??
I KNOW,I KNOW,IT'S A GREY AREA!
I WAS A UNION IRONWORKER,BEFORE BECOMING DISABLED,YOU GUYS IN THESE VIDS MAKIN ME MISS IT!!
Wouldn't mind seeing you two go at it left handed and right handed... cant always get in how you want afterall
As far as weld placement there’s a saying
Put it where it fits
Embrace the pipe.
This shit is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Giter Done guys....cheers
I use fourney 7018ac
Is that a stunt double? Twins? CGI?
#shellslap
Why are iron workers, doing fitter work?
I can see Bob Moffet sitting somewhere watching this with his head in his hands and shaking it lol
Keep welding guys the pusher Boss is watching you should have Caped it long ago are you will be sent back to the HALL . DRAG UP AND START OVER. 😂🤔 .
There teachin downhill on anything under 1/4inch and downhill on gas we run downhill and almost everything at work but it all thin metal
He said differently? 🤯
🤣 You guys are awesome. I love the humor you use when doing the videos. makes them even more interesting. Keep it up and as for those stupid down votes....jealous boneheads.
Oh wow, upon reopening the vid this morn youtube had me as a thumbs down 🤣😂 only noticed cause i was gonna hit thumbs up. So thats how it happens 😂🤦♂️🤣 i was watching last night while falling asleep 🤷♂️
What are the recommended welding temp for a good weld 😃
Jason what shirt is that?
UpinSmokeWelding Jacket. Best jacket I’ve ever had. I bought 6 of them now 😂 I told him to quit making new designs cause I’m going broke lol. But I’ll never need another welding jacket again for the rest of my career.
Jason Becker awesome thanks bud!
Bohler produces some of the best and worst electrodes at the same time. Phoenix grun 6018 is garbage, while phoenix blau 6018 is amazing!
lol, 3/32 as we non english speaking like to call it, 2.5mm :D
Ok yall a school I have to ask are your students stuck in small booths to do their welding. Reason I ask our pipe holder is against wall and hard to move around it
In the field pipes are going to be in shitty spots and hard to move around. You get used to adversity. Good luck!
@@redalaska oh believe me I know I weld at work in some really odd spots. I just saw them in open area and was wondering if the students welded in open areas or was in booths. I'm still trying to get my certs for everything to be all nice and legal to speak. But. I weld a lot of fad stuff
My students currently have a roughly 4x4 work area in their booths. When I get in there with them it shrinks drastically.
@@jasonbecker3362 ok that's what we have. With the air hood from top fire brick half the table and grate the other half.
My school has partitions we can move around, but we usually arrange them into booths about 8x8. My booth has a downdraft grate about 3x4 with a vertical pipe in the middle for clamping workpieces. An old ass Lincoln stick/TIG on the left and a newer Miller MIG on the right. 90 psi shop air plumbed in and bottles for shielding gas.
What ironworkers welding pipe haha
Can you plz do a review on the PRIMEWELD tig 225x
Fat Guys with Beards......Love It !!!!
Im an ironworker not a plumer
A pipe welder and iron worker walk into a room......
Whats a Millimeter? I only speak United States. lol
Get a room you two
first?
woah....
You are quick
Remember on Charlie Brown and the teacher on the phone? that's how all this sounded to me 😟 wtf is 3g
A position in welding. Vertical.
3G is a third position (vertical) groove weld.
👍🏽💯🦅😎
scabs
Since when do iron workers weld on pipe?
Dear Professor Is Ask for Pipe X65 and what is better for welding, 7010 or 6010 or 8010
