I'm a retired mechanic, and this morning when I started my 2005 Toyota I saw the VSC TRAC and Check Eng lite on. I didn't have time to check it, but later on I was checking Google as to what the VSC system involves, and came across your video. I never thought that a emission failure would cause the VSC light to also come on. At this point I'm guessing the attendant at the gas station left the cap loose yesterday. Hopefully this is the problem, I'll check it when I get back to the car. Great video.👍
@mamandapanda185 No, it wasn't a loose cap. I scanned it, and it only set C1201, which happened once before when I let the fuel level run very low. I cleared it as before, and I hasn't come back.
@mamandapanda185 C1201 sounds more like ECU and multiple things which could cause an MIL to come on . If you get Check Engine + VSC + Trac off it will be what I discussed. In the video I went through several possibilities
I'm having pretty much the same issue with my Sienna. Wouldn't open the fuel door so I hit the manual release. When I took the gas cap off there was a lot of pressure in the tank but I put it back on. What did you do to fix yours?
I have a 2005 Lexus RX330. I just had added per Lexus owner's manual dexron III AT fluid to power steering reservoir and the vsc and trac off lights plus a flashing check engine light and rough idle and rough as I drove back home approximately 4 miles. Plus the weather the past 48 hours has been raining with foggy conditions and temps of 40s F - 60 F. And only have approximately 3 gallons of fuel in tank. Thank you in advance for your help and great videos.

Thank you for suggesting this video. I commented on another video of yours. I think it might be the Wheel Speed Sensor that's causing the VSC lights to turn ON. I took my car to Pep Boys, a US Franchise Service Center, to replace the Starter. I noticed upon picking my car up, they handed me my wheel lock, so I knew they had to remove the front wheels to replace the Starter. Prior to taking it to Pep Boys, the VSC never came ON. I am taking my car back to Pep Boys tomorrow and have them check the Wheel Speed Sensor. I don't want to spend anymore money on this car. It's 16 yrs old and I am trading it in for a new Toyota Camry. As for the O2 Sensor, I don't see any black smoke. I did test the fuel cap as you suggested in the other video and that didn't work for me.
Great, and very elaborate explanations,it’s very helpful, appreciated very much. Today, woke up,go to store, started the car, shook quite drastically, after a minute of running, check engine light and trac off light, came on but the car stopped shaking. Scanned the code, got P0306, misfired. Why is the trac off light, showed, when it’s misfiring ? And is cylinder #6 located on the front side of the engine? Or located toward or next to the firewall? By the way, it’s a 2012 highlander, thanks
Read the codes . When you see C1201 error which means general engine failure. Including misfire. Therefore traction control light on, Toyota reports severe problem with the car , using extra dash light.

First of all, Great video. I have 2007 Camry V6 with 100,000km. It had been no problem. But last couple weeks ago, VSC check light, tracktion light, and engine check light turned on during driving on the highway. I brought it to my mechanics, and he said nothing bad is scanned. I recently changed the engine airfilter and cabin airfilter by myself. My question is 'Do you think it might cause the problem?'.

Same spark plugs. I did change one injector (before I switched to premium gas) as it did have that code come up for the number 2. But the check engine lights would still come on. But same spark plugs on all 6 cylinders as those back are just too hard to change without a good reason. Again premium gas and all my check engine lights and blinking lights are a thing of the past and it’s nice having a dash free of those. (Those lights came on probable a dozen times in the past. Will all three of these lights come on if someone backed into the right rear of my 2011 toyota sienna van? Soft hit, smashed in the bumper, no airbag came on.
Mine did the same thing and it was the alternator and when the battery dropped to 9v everything lit up. I saw VSC and was like what the hell is VSC! The tow truck driver new instantly he said its your alternator. He jumped started my car and I had a meter in the trunk it was 9v with the engine running. Replaced the alternator everything is good now. You think the battery light or something would have come on before it got to 9v but nope. My car was a 2008 Lexus ES 350.
The alternator was not completely gone, it was at reduced functionality on the way out, if not the car would not have started unless the tow truck driver charged the battery. When battery voltage goes low it throws just about every warning you can get, but the 3 lights I mentioned is relevant to this video.
My Toyota Aurion 2007 shows Traction control and abs light with warning light but no engine light. But if I restart the car it goes away and comes back in two days or so. One tool says no fault codes. Can you please guess what can be the issue? Thanks
2010 vibe, throws a c1336 code, i reset the sensor and it goes away. Soon as i start the car and put it in gear the vcs starts flashing and traction control light comes on. Gas cap has been replaced. Where should i start

@omulaule1860 Thank you for sharing, the reasoning behind that is alignment. When you replace a bearing you will need to align hence this would have sorted the lights. Please consider subscribing to my UA-cam Channel for free if you haven't already to show your support
I am gonna check my fuel cap. Clean it and receptacle as well. Turn car on. If lites still show I'll place saran wrap over the inside of fuel cap, and click it in. Turn car on. If all lites are off then new cap needed. If not will proceed with other areas in your diagram. Already spent hundreds on other stuff including 02 sensor, and I'm going kookoo.

I have 2007 Camry Hybrid with push button start. The car will not start. The message, "Check VSC SYSTEM", comes on when I try to start.
Do I need to have the car towed to a Toyota dealer for repair?
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Hi, when you press the brake pedal do the brake lights come on ?
@TheDocMackCarChannel Thank you for the reply. I replaced the battery. Things are OK. There's no more message.
Thanks again.

First I would like to thank you for your professionalism and easy way of explaining honestly it’s very hard to find someone like you
I am a retired female and I can see how they lie and over charge you worst when you’re a female and much worse when you’re older .
It would be nice if you put an email to be able to keep in touch

Will all three of these lights come on if someone backed into the right rear of my 2011 toyota sienna van? Soft hit, smashed in the bumper, no airbag came on.
Highly doubt that would cause it . Try all my suggestions and it might get fixed. If it was a hard hit near the wheel then maybe
Thanks
Hi, first thing I would check is the wheel speed sensor , SAS or ABS module. I explain most of this in the video. Are you in AU or NZ ?
Thank you😊

I have a 2004 lexus es330. Whenever i wine down when driving. I do feel fuel smell. No leakage whatsoever
It sounds like it is running rich, fuel isn't being completely burned O2 sensors , ignition coils etc. Mileage of the vehicle?
2010 vibe, throws a c1336 code, i reset the sensor and it goes away. Soon as i start the car and put it in gear the vcs starts flashing and traction control light comes on. Gas cap has been replaced. Where should i start
Hi, so the issue is present if not it won't be coming back. I would suggest going through my whole video. Could be wheel speed or steering calibration. I have included this in the video . Please consider subscribing to my UA-cam Channel for free if you haven't already.
Guys those lights when they appear, replace your front bearings. I di mine this Sunday and disappeared. Am happy now.
Yes it can be a bit of a headache , give the rest of the suggestions a go if this is still an issue. Please make sure to Subscribe to my UA-cam Channel.
You are bad to the bone, very helpful info sir
Thank you glad it helped. Please consider subscribing to my UA-cam Channel for free if you haven't already to show your support . I would really appreciate it.
I have a 2012 corolla, and the Trac off/Check Engie have been going on and off (Toggles back and forth every few days). I have yet to see a VSC light go on. Could the gas cap still be the cause or would the VSC definitely be on as well if this was the cause?
Is there anything that you did before this started ?

@TheDigitalThreat I would start off with my first solution first, if it does not work go through the whole video and I have explained all the possibilities. Make sure to subscribe 😃

@wendyholmes1411 I would recommend getting a car parts shop to run an OBD scan, should not cost more than $20 . Let me know what codes you get , I take you have tried my suggestions ? Also make sure to Subscribe to my UA-cam Channel for free
Used my obd2 and erased all codes. Worked.
@daniellang6112 That is great but it will temporarily clear it if the issue still arises.
I have a 2008 Lexus es 350 the issue here is check engine light & track control
Hi, It will be the same issue
I've just changed steering rak n i believe that is de problem of wheel allignment
Yes correct I would say partially is. If you look through the video I have talked about steering and the components as well. Make sure to Subscribe to my UA-cam channel for free if you haven't already.
I have a 05 toyota rav4 and the code I get is p0560 . Low voltage. 😊
I would probably say battery or alternator needs attention. Try charging the battery first.
Got code p0138 o2 sensor bank1 sensor2!!! I change the sensor still getting same code!!!
Thanks for the info
You are most welcome 👍
My lexus is 250 has tsc and check emgine light on

Sometimes It is just a 40 amp fuse blew!
Hello, it may be but this issue is mostly related to what I have suggested. When a fuse blows it can cause all sorts of other errors.

My Rav 4 had this come on. Gas cap was OK, I disconected the negative terminal on my battery, waited 5 minutes and then reconnected the negative.on the battery. Problem solved.
That will only temporarily fix it if you legit have an issue.

Bunch of rubbish! You are being ambiguous. You are guessing and not being direct
@@niceman727 Really ? I would be interested to find out why you think so. I went indepth, so I don't think it is being ambiguous if someone spends time watching the video for all the bits I discussed.
complete waist of time
How so ? I covered this indepth .
Waste of time. Doesn't tell me how to fix it
Is that so ? How did I not tell you how to fix it ? The video is long and covers alot of possible fixes .
The third thing you have to look at is your ……. Sensor. WHAT ? I could not understand the word before sensor.
O2 sensor.... oxygen
