You give a lot of enjoyment to a lot of folks Lewis i look at there comments and i cant help but agree.still trying to catch up with your videos ii'l be up all night every night. lol cheers Lewis
Another very enjoyable video, I can honestly say I never tire of watching your videos. In some way there is a slight similarity to mine which is basically a single main line operating through a small country village with various sidings. Cheers Greg
Thanks very much as always Greg. That sounds like a lovely layout. If i started another, I'd like to do something similar with a Western or Southern Region main line running through a village/town, only thing is that would most likely require lots of space in oo guage!
Thank you very much Barry. I love the camera you used in you latest video to film the inside of your tunnel, I'll have to sort something like that out myself!
Another great clip! I noticed a while ago that you have a Great Western "Toad" brake van on duty. That must have been rare in the Dales. I certainly don't seeing any around the Lancaster/Skipton area.
This is simply a magnificent layout and your filming of it makes it all that more enjoyable. I wonder if I might suggest...one or two of your wagons are bouncing on the points...have you checked your back-to-back wheel measurements? Thanks as always for sharing Mr Raspberry. Cheers, Bob
Thanks very much Bob. I don’t think that it’s the back-to-back measurements, but the whopping flanges on the old Hornby Dublo wagon wheels. Rather then replace the wheels, I think I’ll build and paint a rake of 16 ton minerals from kits as these ones are way too chunky and lack any detail... they did only cost me £3 each though!
love watching your clips, never get bored watching with them. I'll will need to stsrt adding some green to my layout. keep your clips coming always a joy to watch Brian. Have you ever done lights on coaches?
Thanks very much as always Brian. I might look into the Train-tech coach lighting, seen some reviews and it looks very easy to instal and isn’t too expensive. That would make an interesting video though, some trains running in the dark!
Thanks! I think the points and curves are too tight. This is quite an old video, and since then I’ve relaid some of the track so everything runs nice and smooth.
Nice, what is the best way to mix static grass - apply one layer then another different layer on top, or just mix both types of grass fibre together before application?
I reckon that applying layer over layer is best, as this way you get patches of different shades/lengths. I start with the shorter 2mm grass then work up to 4mm then a little 6mm.
You don't see that sort of push-pull service now. The 4F Tender Engine looked like she was struggling slightly with all those trucks behind her. I'm not sure how many goods wagons a 4F could handle unaided, because she's fairly lightweight. A 9F can handle a much heavier load, yet in this case, I think either a Stanier or GWR 2-8-0 would have been more suitable.
You certainly can, Rails of Sheffield for 69 smackers. I believe they were mainly used for local/branch/suburban passenger duties, but they lasted so long and there were so many of them I’m sure they did a bit of everything. I know a few were station pilots in the 1950s, some were converted for push/pull trains and someone also mentioned on a previous video that 50705 in particular was hired by an industrial line to haul ‘paddy trains’ to and from a colliery in its later days. It’s a great model but the pick ups in the radial wheels weren’t working when I got it and it ran terribly constantly stalling with only two sets of wheels picking up... I had to take it apart, bend the pick ups and remove some mysterious springs. Runs like a charm now and I’m really happy with it.
That part where the scenery slopes downward, and you have a bridge and stream must be my favourite part of the layout :D
I think that’s mine as well actually. It would be a lovely spot to sit and watch the trains pass!
your attention to detail is truly amazing my friend💐 wonderful scenic diramas💐 i love watching your little railways 💖
Thank you 😀
Me too 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💖
Your landscape work amazes me, every patch of vegetation is perfectly imperfect and very natural looking.
Thanks very much, appreciate it!

Haha thanks Tony, you must be nearly there now!
you cant have too much of a good thing
Great modelling. Made me feel at home. Geoff. W.
Thanks Geoff.
Awesome. Your railway is a work of art and it's such a joy to watch.
Thank you Richard, glad you enjoyed it.
Nicely filmed ! Love the vantage point at 7:00 ! Such a nice scene. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much, I love that view as well. You're welcome.
Great watching this video.A great deal of shunting went on in collecting all the materials.👍
Thank you Harry :-)
Another wonderful running session MR. Thank you for sharing. Paul
Thank you Paul.
Well Done again. The shot over the bridge at around 7 minutes in is a beauty.
Thank you. I think that’s my favourite view on the layout actually.

A very pleasant 9.45 minutes. well done.

If you ;look at my video No13, about half way through I have the details about the camera.......Barry.
I'll take a look, thanks.
well shot and managed nice touch moving freight about Cheers Paul
Thanks very much Paul.
Great nostalgia, as usual !
Cheers Ray!
Thanks for some evocative shots!
You’re very welcome Allen. Thank you for watching!

It will miraculously be replaced by a nice, not so shiny, former midland or LMS van at some point Peter. As will those old Hornby Dublo 16t minerals.
Tag it on the back of a mixture of brake vans, different origins, as another railtour . . .
My favourite UA-cam layout kind regards Rob
Thank you very much as always Rob, glad you enjoyed it!
I think this model railway works well because it has a consistent theme running right through it.
Thank you Stephen.
Nice Thanks for posting. Cheers, Bruno
Thanks very much Bruno.

Glad you did mate!
Could you show a track plan for this layout because I'm very interested in this
Yes, I'll have a go at doing a track plan on SCARM or Anyrail and get it up when I can.
Again a great vid, but why do the trains don't ride smoothly ?
Thanks! I think the points and curves are too tight. This is quite an old video, and since then I’ve relaid some of the track so everything runs nice and smooth.
@@MouldyRaspberry Ok, didn't look at the date, sorry

This is SO freaky - more or less what I dreamed of (in real life) back in 2008 during Aortic lifesaving surgery recovery!
What! Well glad you’re all right now matey. Thanks for watching.
Nothing like heart surgery to put everything into perspective... my experience too. Must get modelling!
The only thing that I don't like on your channel is the thumbs down Paul .🚂🚃🚃🚃i love it .from south Australia Paul
Thanks very much matey 😀
Do your signals work ? And how do you uncouple the trains ?
No, signals are dummies. I use a little uncoupling device to uncoupler now I have the kadee couplings. Since this video I use different couplings.
@@MouldyRaspberry and the uncouplers are in the rails ?
No I use a little tool and do it by hand. You just can’t see it in the video.
There must have been an earthquake in Buckdale, the Land Rover has tiltet at 3:00 ….:-)
There is a lot of seismic activity round these parts!

You could be right - I’m not sure either, but certainly not as much as a 9F or a 8F!
Is there only the 2 stations on layout?
Yeah two stations 👍🏻
Ay up mouldy. Can I be cheeky and ask where you got the L&Y tank from?. Were these used on mixed traffic duties?. Cheers.
You certainly can, Rails of Sheffield for 69 smackers. @@MouldyRaspberry Many thanks.
Need the local pw gang to sort out that joint in the switch to the yard!
I'll get those lazy rascals on it. Cheers John.
Muy bueno estoy armando una maqueta voy a tomar referncia
Thank you, appreciate it :-)
Is this layout DC or DCC?
It’s DC.
