It doesn't really matter to me how profitable the s9 is great video as I'm just getting into mining and the video really helped me with my first s9 Setup

Assuming that BTC still grows to a 100-200x in the next 15-25 years then $2.80 would either be $280 or $560 per day Seems crazy but who knew that a $1-$5 btc 14 years ago would be up 10,000%
post halving, is there a basic miner like this that makes $ense under $600 or so ? I mean is this $1.40 day (approx) post halving revenue? Electricity prob 3.00 ugh lol Great video btw straight and to the point. Never mined but interested- too bad missed halving boat ugh
An s9 is terribly inefficient now, it would cost you more $$$ in energy use, than you’d ever make in bitcoin. Unless you have free energy, no recommended lol.
I agree with that, but it’s still a great miner to learn, since it’s not that expensive and it’s a beginner friendly one, if you are gonna buy one it’s probably to learn not to make profit, I bought one to learn, it was my first miner, then when I learned I just sold mine, and bought a S19J pro, so I do recommend to learn but definitely not to make profit.
I got this one used on Amazon, you will probably find the best prices there. Just be cautious of your profitability based on energy cost! S9 is basically for education purposes only at this point
If you're paying for electricity, an s9 in today's world will cost more to run it than the profit you'd receive. If you're on solar or not paying for electric its on average (for me) about 1.50 usd per day (excluding electric costs)

You don’t connect the miner directly to the laptop, you connect the miner to router via Ethernet cable then connect your laptop to the router via wifi
