For those having issues installing Nicehash on Windows. The Miners get flagged as "Trojans" they are not, it is only because they are exe files. This guide helps correct this safely.

So how much do you get with this setup?
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU MINE ON YOUR GAMING COMPUTER. Unlike your gaming PC, miners build their GPU rigs to have a low power consumption to maximize profitability. Your gaming computer will draw SUBSTANTIALLY more power than the rigs they create (cause ours have RGB, extra fans, etc). If you wish to start mining, get yourself a power monitor as mining software's like Nicehash will show you may be using X amount of power to mine (will be 1/2 of what you're actually drawing from the 120v wall outlet). Unless you got a 4090 its unprofitable. If you truly want to get into mining, get a 120v asic miner which will actually allow you to earn a little bit of money and if you enjoy that, then you can start your mining farm.
I have 4090 liquid cooling msi suprim and i9 14000k is that overkill for bit coin mining?
@@dr.blast__2713 Not at all, its the bare minimum to where you can actually start making any profit. So i would suggest buying a 120v power monitor from the meter box which will help you understand if you are actually using more power than you are earning.
@@dr.blast__2713 search for nicehash profitability-calculator. you nee to know your elec. rates per kwatt hr mine is 14.54 cents per hr .my rtx 4090 and with my rates would gross $1.36-elec $1.22= total profit of $00.14 cents per day not worth it anymore use to mine when I wasn't game before eth changed the way eth was mined and made little over a dollar a day with the rtx4090. better to just buy btc if you want it total gross for a month would be $45.41 btc with out subtracting elec. costs... oh also UNCLE SAM wants some of your profits too wooot wooot!!!
@dr.blast__2713 dnt do it. Nvidia made the gpu for gaming no more mining in the 30 series. If u mine now. Ur wasting more electricity than what u getting pay. So u be in the negative and pay more than u earn.

One thing you forgot to add. Nicehash program should always be "run as administrator" before running the benchmark to use your PC resources to the max. Great video!

I tried that also on my pc but security feature blocks my miner from loading and/or installing.
@@chasplace2308 Look at your firewall settings. Try adding nicehash program to it. Try shutting down any anti virus programs. Sometimes mining programs are mistaken as threats.

Theoretically a very good introduction. Out of curiosity I tried to follow your instructions using my Gamer's laptop. Result: I can probably mine ~USD 0.30 per day, but have to pay USD 0.25 for electricity. Overall not really worth to continue ...

I already know this is probably a dumb question, but could i potentially do all this but on a Mac running Windows in a Virtual Machine (i already do this for certain other tasks)? On paper all of it should functionally operate the same but i know NiceHash is generally looking for certain CPUs/GPUs and i don't know how Window's running in a VM reads the Apple M1/M2/M3 chips as. Like would NiceHash see "oh this is Windows running in a VM and we can't mine on M1/M2/M3 chips". Or would NiceHash functionally see the M1/M2/M3 chip, through the Windows VM, as some flavor of Intel/AMD/Nvidia chip and be able to run through the emulation? Any advice for mining on Mac with things like NiceHash/similar in general? Or is this largely a Windows/Linux/Ubuntu/dedicated Asiic only thing?

only thing you forgot is to mention that the minimum payout for the unpaid mining balance is 0.00001 BTC so if that balance is below that it wont move to btc wallet after those 3 hours gone by.
Yeah that network fee will chew through any of your profit the more often you move. I recommend waiting until you get a substantial balance then moving to another wallet later.

even worst, minimum withdrawals are 0.0005 BTC.. Only through lightning network it can be a lot lower

I can't get mine to work. Multiple uninstalls and redownloads. I've followed all the help videos. Added Nicehash folder to Microsoft Defender exclusions. But it still wont run. I have no VPN. Not sure why its blocked. Keeps saying NHMWS not connected. I even turn off Microsoft defender completely and still not starting. Any help would be appreciated.

Dont know what to do with my i9 12900KF. Mining using nicehash only give me $0.40 per day. And only 17 core can be used for mining due to lack of cache available. Any suggestion? Maybe got other profitable coin.

@@flixs6956 cheap is NaN. If that's your desktop PC, then it uses about 250W/h while mining = 6Kw/day = 60c/day. That electricity cost per day and it is more than you get mining. Let's say you only have rig (MB+CPU+RAM+PSU) then it will be using at least 160W/h = 3840W/day = 38c/day - basically all you mine. So is it so cheap? So I'm asking my question again: you getting 40c/day before or after electricity? You might not care, may be your daddy pays it. Then don't bother answering. It's still mining, but it's not profits when you not counting your expanses, and someone else pays your bills.

Vs the cost of electricity, this is not worth doing, as you computer draws a significant amount of power to run your card at a higher wattage. it is actually cheaper to pay the gas fees and just purchase the coin directly. You are going against Chinese miner farms with hundreds of cards.

Guys don't download it has trojan in it when I downloaded it my antivirus kept blocking it then I deleted my antivirus and windows defend started saying there trojan.

This is complete garbage. If you have proper cooling it will not. To make a statement like this just shows that you are ignorant of how to do it. In fact the way he shows in this video is one of the best. Mining on a laptop is no different than mining on a desktop all the same properties and variables are in play. The mining isn't what ruins the laptop is the improper cooling setup. Most gamers are harder on the hardware both desktop and laptop arenas than mining is.
dont use a laptop for mining! It will thermal throttle and destroy the components
