Can you give a comparison between Pool Mining and Solo mining opportunities? I get that Solo Mining on a 4th/s is really low chance for finding a BTC block, but how does it compare to Pool Mining? Pool Mining is more stable revenue, no?
These things are garbage and I suggest not buying them. They make just under 4 th/s but constantly drop the signal and don't search for it again. I have a fiber optic line run directly to my house and a RT-AX5400 wifi router. The Nano 3 is physically the closest device to my router and it still drops the signal about twice a day. You have to constantly keep watching it or checking your mining pool to see if it's still actually working. It also ships from China which means a 2 month wait for delivery, and for some reason Avalon charges UK import tax to the US, so add 27.6% to the listed cost per unit. I really wanted to like this thing because a device that makes 4 th/s and uses 140 watts could put SHA-256 mining within reach of the average person again (with lots of them) but this one just drops the signal way too often and doesn't have an ethernet port to connect directly to a router.

It depends which mining pool you're using and how often they transfer. And by my very generous math you have to leave one running non-stop for over 3 years to hit ROI on a single device. Assuming the price of the coin you're mining doesn't hit another boom. If you're betting that the price of a certain SHA-256 coin will go up during that time it's much less effort to buy that coin and hold.

I can not get mine to get off of level 1 2.3 TH/s. I select high but it does nothing. Pool is showing 0.78 TH/s. I've tried using the buttons still nothing. If I mess with it too much it refuses to connect and I have to start over setting it up.

The miner gives me a lot of hardware errors, the same with the 3 units, someone with the same problem ?, for me it is much better the StealthMiner 30 th, more efficient, cheaper and works without problems, plus it has ethernet cable and can be used at home with 650w , for me it is the best at present to start

If you run 4ths i highly recommend removing the grills an maybe adding a 120mm fan pulling air out from the front, helps temps greatly

**UPDATE** - The app wasn't working on my iPhone but I was able to successfully connect on my android phone.
Mine won’t create a stable Wi-Fi connection. Good customer service but no solution. Hope they replace or refund for me.
