I sent you pictures of my knob .. It's pretty damaged from being used as a beige battering ram all its life . Do you think my knob will still work correctly with all the abuse it's been under? It still works! It's just not as beautiful as it was when I was a young man... I think it should have some abuse marks after aging , it lets people know that you enjoy your ride 😏.. Most often times if you just put a bag over it before you use it then you will be fine .. I've never stuck to that rule .. So warning to others .. If you don't want to destroy your knob put a cover on it .. It will save you a lot of grief in life 😒
i cant have any short throw shifter with my wrist hand injury i have tried them in the past they are awesome but over time it affects my joint where i had surgery.
@@autofanaticcars sorry to hear that. Also starting to realize what you mean with back pain and driving the 350. I might have to put an old man lower lumbar pillow in mine
Great review! Just picked up a 2019 GT350 a couple days ago, and the stock knob is rough on the side. I traded in my 2019 Bullitt, love the Tremec but miss my old cue ball shift knob. So I'll try out this Billetworkz model, and I'll make sure to pick up a rubber strap wrench too! Thanks!
The weighted knob is supposed to help offset the lever weight and “lighten” the throw. It’s not necessary but with the added traction of driving gloves and the knob weight it really helps.
Hey.I just got the weighted shift knob like the one in your vid.Looks awesome.A bit pricey but the weight and the etching and machining look to be worth every penny! And I got it with the GT350 etching minus the R.My car is stored till Spring so I'll install then.Great looking piece.Heat???? I ain't worried about heat. I'm a Licensed auto Tech so a bit of heat I think I can handle lol!! Cheers. Also,I got the locking nut and thread for my MGW shifter.2 were sent that I paid for to save a headache.
I put a Raceseng in there translucent red in my rapid red 350. I didn’t care for how it felt with the tremec. I went back to the stock knob. Was complete opposite of the raceseng in my vert 16gt. I really like it in thar car.
thanks for sharing your feedback the MT82 in the 16 GT isn't the greatest so i am sure the weighted knob really helped your car a lot. What didn't you like about it on your 350?
@@autofanaticcars I didn’t care for the weighted throw of it. The tremec is so light any way, I just felt it muted the feel. I think Raceseng makes a beautiful product, just didn’t care for it my 350. I was really bummed, I wanted to put the blue translucent version in my Heritage R.
Thanks for the review. Been on the fence. Still on the fence lol. I'm in South Florida. Last thing I need is a hand warmer lol. Interested in seeing your weighted factory knob 🤔
Great vids.Watch 'em all the time. The only difference is I have the GT350,not the R. One question. Will this shifter ball work on an MGW shifter assy.?I'd love to get one. Thanks.
the knob has an adaptor for the OEM shift stalk and they do sell a version for aftermarket shifters if you check their site. should work but call them to confirm you order the correct one.
The trans on my 2018 PP1 S550 is still a little notchy after almost 40,000 miles. Any additional thoughts regarding changing to Royal Purple? Note: Just returned from 7,000 mile road trip thru the American southwest - car was an ideal travel companion for two. Averaged almost 30 MPG despite “spirited” driving.
Cool video. I got a Raceseng shift knob on my gt350. I like it. I got the leather covered stratose unit. It is a similar size as the stock knob. The lockout is nice too. Had some NVH with it though. Changed the o ring on the shaft to dampen the vibrations. Thanks for the video.

I am jealous. No guy ever sent me a picture of his knob
You should get the MGW short shift It shortens the throw , very precise shifts and gets rid of the reverse collar. Push down on shift for reverse

I installed a Raceseng stratose alcantara shift knob on my Civic Type R, It’s much better than the stock aluminum shift knob.
I found the same thing. I liked the weight but didn’t like the heat that was transferred into the knob on long drives. Made it hard to enjoy

Wow what a coincidence I just got the same exact one same color for my dad’s GT350 great minds think alike
Nice knob. Wait. That came out wrong. Aargh, that too.
ha ha ha

it does feel better to shift for sure and almost eliminate that notchy feel from 1-2 and 2-3
I have that knob on my GT350 and i agree it took that clunky feel out of 1st to second and 2nd to 3rd
😂
I love my knob I polish it every day

this would scorch your hand in Florida heat
@@autofanaticcars Copy. Ty for the heads up!
I never knew how much I liked the stock knob, til I put that one on. It’s a good looking piece, but, nah.
the weight does feel great stay tuned for the modded stock knob when i get time to play with it

i am sure they have one to work on the MGW you best bet is to call them to ask
Is this knob compatible with the MGW short throw shifter? I know you can order an adapter with the MGW shifter to continue using the factory knob.
the knob has an adaptor for the OEM shift stalk and they do sell a version for aftermarket shifters if you check their site. should work but call them to confirm you order the correct one.
I have one on mine!
Another question.Would you replace rear diff, trans, and engine oil with Royal Purple? Thanks.
I have not for the engine i swear by Amsoil Signature oil.
I just got a knob from bulletworkz and jt didnt come with an adapter. Was yours included? Or did u have to buy the adapter separately?
if you selected the vehicle you own they come with a specific adaptor but just give them a call if they they forgot one.

try to do a fluid swap it really helped mine out a lot
For the mt82 its always the clutch. If its notchy or grinds or doesn’t want to go into gear even when warmed up, it’s the clutch.

hi can you email me photos of your setup id like to see how it looks. I can not decide which one to choose.
@@autofanaticcars no problem. Send it out tonight.
Don't locktite your shift knobs people.
you have to put a dab of blue loctite in order to get the orientation correct and straight its perfectly safe if you do not overdo it.
Use Loctite green locker, it's one stop less than the blue.
A waste of watching time...
