Hello Tim. I'm a physician. I noticed Anna has a reddish butterfly shaped rash bilaterally on her facial cheeks and bridge of her nose. It may be just acne rosacea or it could be SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus). I wanted to bring it to your attention so she can have some simple blood work performed to test for SLE. Ask her how long she has had the butterfly shaped discoloration and if it gets worse with direct sun exposure. Also, ask if she has any joint stiffness, swelling, discomfort or pain. You can comment back if you have any questions. Enjoyed this rural provincial video.

Ana’s laugh is extremely contagious. Every time I hear it I start smiling. And it’s constant. I would like to see videos of her traveling around the islands and the interactions with other people. What a wonderful friend she would make. Definitely would love to visit Leyte and surrounding area.

Tim, I am happy you visited Anna. I have known her for a while and she is a wonderful person. She forged her independence starting with nothing. She dropped out of school at a young age, went back as an adult, eventually got a college degree, bought her own land, and has become independent. Through all of that, she didn’t lose her sweet, kind, and fun personality. Thank you for visiting her

No. She paid for everything PRIOR to receiving any money from social media or from people she met from social media. Only in the past 6 months has Anna received any money from those sources. Pretty cool and impressive.
As soon as Anna reminisced about her late grandma, a newbie to life jumped into her lap...the beautiful circle of life portrayed by equally beautiful and kind people...there is hope for humanity ☺️

This is a Real as it gets here. I’m in the Province on Mindanao and it’s really tough on you out here as a Foreigner but it’s better than being back in the US to be honest… most could not cut it 1 week out here!

Rough timeline: Ana left school at 12 to work as a home helper in Manila, then Tacloban. Later, while still working as a helper, she completed elementary school and then a degree in business administration, before returning to the farm around 2019.
Inspiring story of spirit, hard work and determination.
Unless you have your own BIZ in the phils you cannot make any money. I had to see a Dr. while there and we started talking money. I told her what I made as an IT consultant and she choked. She said she works 6 days per week 10hrs per day as a Dr. and makes very little. The business to have now days is food. Everyone has to eat 3x per day.
Land and a chicken and pig growing farm is the way to go. Make lots of cash feeding the hungry people.

Sad to see so much abject poverty in the Philippines while Japan,Korea,Singaopore,Malaysia have progressed their economies,lifting their populations out of poverty..Endemic corruption holding the country back. Philippinos are a happy people,so accepting of their situation.

I know your pain. I also cannot get used to the heat in Southeast Asia. I also require an air conditioner and look just like you in outside in that heat and humidity.
Yeah DoorDash knows that they can’t pay you nothing to get their orders delivered without trying to incentivize people with hope. I would still be near 100% it the offers I received were not $5.75 for 11.9 miles and 10 miles back to my zone. I don’t consider 75 cents an hour after the $5 a gallon for the cost of gas to be very profitable. I my town google maps always predicts 2 1/2 to 3 minutes a mile. So to maintain 20 an hour just $3 an hour more than the fast food restaurants I have to pull a minimum of $5 for up to 2 miles.
That bamboo floor is great. Dirt just falls right through. I could easily live here, but prefer on the beach.
