I own an F80 M3 CS, with almost 90k kilometers, first owner, and no issues with crank pulley. I don't intend to tune it. But with these videos by specialists who know what they are talking about, the car is pretty much unsellable I guess, thanks for that.
Yes, G82 will be given a full mark 💯 But given the lack of at Drag Race events, we hope to see it in a trial in (Carwow), for example, in the future. I look forward to the results we will see from this monster.

I just picked up an LCI X3M comp. So glad to hear him praising BMW’s upgrades over the previous engines. It seems like they were a bit of a broken record for a while never addressing some failure components in the past.
Having built a 1JZ myself … the block and thickness of the S58 is extremely similar. Really cool to see going back to the tried and true “bigger is better” for this motor

Gearbox is also now built, so shouldn’t be an issue. Have seen a few people damaging 5/6th gear by running too much power through standard, much less than our goal!
For the money you cannot go wrong with a BMW they have absolutely zero misses with the 1 series , 2 series , 3 series , 4 series 5 , 6 and 8 series for the money you can get a complete monster of a german engineered beast only German manufacturer that still does manuals on most of it's cars and they don't pretend to be a full out luxury brand like Mercedes and Audi, BMW and Volkswagen knows how to build motors they make the most with what they have Volkswagen obviously the kings of 4 cylinders and BMW the kings of low displacement inline 6 motors and the kings of low displacement 8 cylinders , beautiful Sportscars and they build cars for every type of person if you want Luxury they have those if you want a mid sportscar they have the 35i and 40i cars if you want a fully fledged sportscar the M2 M3 and M4 is there if you want luxury comfort and tech the 5 series and 8 series is there if you want a Mom car they have that SUV'S they have that with engines ranging from 4 cylinders to 8 cylinders and small displacements like 1.6 to 4 liters BMW will remain the kings , they've built a gigantic array of future classics look at the E30 M3 the E36 M3 the E46 M3 and the E92 M3 they are still extreme favourites even though their old the new M's will be like those cars for future owners BMW is the king of future proofing the kings

1000 hp using a plastic intake manifold? That must be some specially high strength formulated plastic. I would have thought CSF’s combo aluminum intake manifold and inter cooler is the proper part to use; I guess not. Question then, will Evolve have a tune specially made for the G82 M4 coupes paired with a 6 speed manual transmission? I really like my ‘23 M4 6MT. Next question, can the M4 CSL software for traction control, steering and adaptive suspension controls be loaded onto a 6MT car, and work properly? If so, I’d love to have that software loaded into my 6 MT M4. Thanks and keep up the great work.
You can see the CSF billet inlet manifold in the background - We fitted the original for testing and then reinstalled the CSF, which is now fitted to the car. As for the tune, yes we have experience tuning the 6MT version of the car and all of the CSL software works well - Drop us an email on sales@evolveautomotive.com
I’m assuming you mean G82, and it’s xDrive. We wouldn’t bother doing this to a RWD car, big power RWD cars you’re always fighting against traction limits.

These engines are going to be the next 2J as imran mentioned in the video. This may be a noob question, but can anyone explain why they appear to be using a DTI gauge or something similar to that effect when torquing down the big end caps?

We fitted the stock one during run in so that we could do testing with no performance altering parts tested to check against the standard engine. In the next video we take advantage of all the added strength this engine and transmission has given us

It's fantastic to have a 1000 hp, but can you put all that power down and use it, a Porsche GT3 with less power still destroys loads of cars with more hp.

Entire process would take about a week, drive in drive out.

Torque can be varied by things such as lubrication, stretch is more precise.

Australia does it best. Their everyday G80s are punching low to mid 8s with stock bottom ends. So advanced in performance

This isn’t a competitor to a GT3, but it will be interesting to see how it compares to tuned a Turbo S
They probably over-engineered it so it will last to 2035 and be the last straight-six.
Definitely BMW showing what they can do. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the S58 as a hybrid with a much bigger turbo in the future
