As a lot of people have already known, this film has influenced on many movies. Hitchcock is always genious director, and we will never forget the great director ever!
One thing I've always noticed about the scene showing the mountain road they're driving on is it goes in the direction of smoke rising in the background.
A obra-prima de um mestre! Vertigo ou Um Corpo Que Cai, título brasileiro! Hitchcock soube dosar suspense e romantismo! Acrofobia, Possessão, Impulso Suicida, Paixão, Manipulação Psicológica, Frustação, Ambição...Imperdível!!!
@cunnidvd I'm serious. There's a lot of evidence of it being a thematic undertone in the movie, masterfully executed by Hitchcock's use of subtlety. The timeline of when the movie was made and an interest in relativity pertaining to light speed sparked by the death of Einstein line up perfectly.
The main Vertigo theme was taken from Wagner's Tristan and Isolde consciously or subconsciously by Bernard Herrmann. I integrate Vertigo and a bunch of other Hitchcock classics in my original song "Here's To Alfred Hitchcock," viewable right here on UA-cam. Just click on my name below or search "CraigASilver."
His dream is so whimsical. Hitchcock is a genius.
If you never have seen the full length movie Vertigo you must make sure to do so. It is certainly a masterpiece of film making.

Actually, it's the opening theme to Vertigo--on the album, it's the very first song, under the name "Prelude and Rooftop"

Vertigo is about time travel.
