I love that you not only visit the touristy malls in Singapore, but other malls that typical Singaporeans go to.
“Till we eat again” I take that very seriously and only watch when I’m eating something, too 😂 🍱
Me too😂😂
Great vid! Last time I went to HaidiLao by myself, they were very surprised and said I'll have lots of food to eat :) more solo hotpots!
Thanks!
I'm gonna be honest, Hello Fresh really betrayed my trust. I expect things to be delivered on the date I select, and they delivered it a day early on three separate occasions. Each time, I called them and told them that we had to cancel plans to be there for the food so it wouldn't get hot in the Florida weather, and they need to deliver on time, not early. Each time, they told me that it would not happen again. After the third time I told them it won't happen again because I'm quitting. Also, a lot of their veggies were barely usable, not super fresh. Sometimes they were so bad we had to replace them. Those who have good experience with Hello Fresh, good on ya, keep using it, but for those who don't have it yet, be warned and watch the quality of ingredients, because they need to be accountable for the FRESH part of their name.
You should see the warehouses. I worked at one in the UK and i wouldnt buy any
I agree and hoping Mikey who is precious rethinks this sponsorship as we have had 4 consecutive subpar deliveries....
I’m sorry to hear that it does not seem to be all that great in the States - I don’t anymore since I moved about a year ago but I’ve used HelloFresh for a while in Germany and I have say I have always been very satisfied. Yes, once you run out of coupons it is definitely not cheap but for me delivery was (almost) always on time, ingredients (almost) always fresh and complete, and the selected dishes (almost) always pretty delicious. Definitely helped me through nights where I was too lazy to shop for ingredients and come up with something to cook on my own.
@@rotaeugigerKoenig Why be satisfied for almost? Almost fresh, almost on time, almost delicious...Especially if you're paying top dollar? Doing that only reinforces businesses to never change or improve their practices. That's the thing with these subscription services, they rely way too much on people getting tired of complaining and just accepting the status quo and/or continuing their subscription despite not being completely satisfied.
Because of the subscription model, most businesses like them really only care about getting as many people signed up as possible, and will make whatever claims/promises they need to get those people in the door...but usually have trouble actually pulling through on all their promises or don't care about treating their existing customer base once they acquire them.
You can't expect perfection 100% of the time, that's a given with any service or business, but you should expect them to at very least deliver on what they promise. Since they already have your money, they don't have nearly as much motivation to follow through as a traditional business would.
I Tried Magic Spoon and hated their cereal, but with one email they refunded my money and asked if I would just pass the unopened boxes along. Cereal stunk to me but their service was top-notch.
LOL imagine trying to use robots because they're supposed to be more efficient but they ended up screwing up your order. As a Singaporean, I'm actually against all these gimmicky places trying to replace humans with robots, it's not like the drinks are any better or cheaper but it harms the low income group in SG.
The sad part about this is that this is going to be more common in the future. 😢
@@hydrazine799 Time to get an engineering degree.
If you are referring to the robots ‘replacing’ Low income jobs, actually employers are finding it extremely difficult to hire anyone willing to do the job, thus using robots as replacement. If there’s no robots, businesses will literally go bust which means more people unemployed. Offering a different perspective.
@@gummyjellie The problem is they aren't getting paid enough. There wouldn't be a problem if the pay was liveable
@@AHylianWarrior Actually I do some of this kind of work part time for extra cash when I have time. The rates have been going up and they still can't fill all positions.
Singapore is a food heaven Mike can upload food videos almost everyday 😁
Lol😂😂😂
STFU, you’d say Singapore is food heaven because you haven’t been to Malaysia.
Lol. I live near the places he went to in the first half. He mentioned Salted Caramel, which is an ice cream place (amazing waffles), but the cake he ate was from the bakery next door, called Baker's Brew. 🤣
Welcome to Singapore, Mike!! Honoured to have you here, hope you have been enjoying the place and what it has to offer!!
Love to see someone enjoying their food. So satisfying. . Love to see someone enjoying their food. So satisfying. .
welcome to singapore :) you gotta try the laksa near bugis! it’s at a coffee shop about 5 minutes away from bugis mrt (forgot the name of the store), shabu sai is also not bad for it’s price. tanjong pagar has an insane amount of good food as well, enjoy your stay !
You can even pack the soup home to freeze it and use it for your next hotpot.
In China, people on social media have discovered that the soup is from toxic chemical powder.
@@jasonlucas2328 OMG 😱
Bro this man is the bomb always posting abt food
I literally went to Roti Prata House for supper last night! Stayed till about midnight, definitely get what you mean about Singapore having great supper options. In the UK the only options are a kebab shop or McDonalds (which is not nearly as good as Singapore's) 😭
Curious as to what chalkady or chalkadie is?
Mike, you were 200m from a much better prata shop in Blk 24 Sin Ming Road. Don’t go during rush hour, go about 3-4pm when there’s no queue. Then they can slowly cook you a mutton or chicken murtabak. Try their mutton curry (the cube one, not the mince), and just the plain and egg Prata for fun. Also famous in the same coffee shop is kopi o and local charcoal grilled baguette with slabs of butter and kaya (jiam tao loh ti kaya guyou). People from the east come here to eat this.
Love to see someone enjoying their food. So satisfying. 💜😝
Mike, you need to check out the Singapore Food Festival at the Bayfront area runs til 11 Sept. It's the biggest food festival in sg and I think it's worth the visit!
I love watching you eating . It makes everything looks 10x more delicious
And making me hungry all the time 😂😂😂
Watched u for 5 years please make my day and say hello!!

mike u shld try egg prata its one of the best and popular prata versions cos the egg makes the prata more fluffy!!
I'd rather be stuck in a delicious cycle as opposed to a vicious cycle.
Wouldn't we all?
Drink a shot everytime Mike says "deLISHHHcious" or "amAAAZZing" in his videos.. you're welcome.
@@d3vsy 😂😂
That robot machine is next level lol 😅🤣👍😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💨💨💨💨💨💨

I was just talking to my partner about trying this one out after our favourite hotpot spot closed down. Perfect video

Oh yeah! Love all the videos! I love to live thru you 😂
My t-shirt would look like a virtual menu. How often do you destroy you pristine t-shirt?
Go up a few MRT stations from Upper Thomson to Springleaf to have excellent pratas and murtabaks.. Springleaf Prata, highly recommended.
Agreed🙌🏻
I have to go to Singapore next week. This is perfect timing. Thanks.
MIKE. THIS. IS SERIOUSLY WHERE I GO ALL THE TIME. But not for the prata hahaha for the bak chor mee and udders ice cream.
Welcome back to Singapore!!! Hope to see you on the streets some day.
Mike, I'm really enjoying these videos from Singapore I'm glad you are going to be there for up to a year, I hope you can do another visit to Yan Ting for Dim Sum.

Delicious looking Mikey.
Thanks again for sharing your awesome videos.
Hey Mike, when are you coming to Australia? Amazing videos, I check them out daily :)
heading out to crispy prata house now because of mike
I'm an asian american living in Singapore too, if you're back in the Thomson Plaza mall, gotta hit Omote, their Chirashi Dons are insane
Fish curry with roti prata is my go to, so satisfying
The best thing for me at HDL is getting a bowl of beef cubes and fresh coriander then put the tomato broth in it. Beautiful
Yummy..I love tofu..stuffed w fish cake..sounds excellent!
😍😍 Yum, I love hot pot. One of my favorite things to eat.
That is one of the HDL hacks Mike....you can order water and then create your own broth from the sauce bar.
Love this Hotpot!Amazing! 🔥🔥🔥
All Looks So Delicioussss😍😍😍
Since you mentioned Lychee, you gotta try the Lychee Tiramisu at L'Atelier Tiramisu @ Clarke Quay Central.
the fact that u went to eat ytf right after hdl is insane to me 😂
next time, try dipping prata with sugar. Such an amazing combination
Hey, Mike love the catch......"This is better than an IHOP at 0100 in the morning". Thought I wouldn't notice, love you.
I've been watching the re runs of Rumble in the Bronx with this guy ^^
Welcome to Singapore. Singapore welcomes you and the world 😁
Oh that looks so tasty! I can’t wait for a medicine to treat my Celiacs so I can explore delicious food
Lucky Plaza on Orchard Road is Philipine food central. Check it out.
You can actually ask them to do takeaways for you from HDL. Like the items from the sauce bar and your broth as well.
Love the constant random blurring. I can really see your experience as a former wedding videographer shining through
Welcome to Singapore! Enjoy your stay with Christine and hope you get to try more hawker food!
You can try dhal curry with the prata also. And don't forget to dip prata with curry AND SUGAR! Delicious!
Hope to see some collaborations with local UA-camrs, especially Zermatt Neo and Ghib Ojisan!
Stay safe!
Walao don’t ask him to eat with sugar leh, he’ll be crucified in the comments lolol
I'm Indian and wtf
curry and sugar is not it..
That robot was cool👍👍
You're awesome Mike keep up the good work appreciate everything you do!
I want to eat it all Mike Chen!!! 😁
Haha... the dragon ball reference made me chuckle..
I didn't know Jackie Chan had his own food tasting channel until now
This place is super good
Hi Mike Chen, since you're at Singapore, you should go to try Wahyu Beef Noodle soup at a restaurant name "Lenu". Their Beef noodle soup quite legit.
Hey Mike! Do try 'Beauty in the Pot' - It is as good as HDL! You should go hang out at Tanjong Pagar / Telok Ayer area as well. The Tendon Ginza Itsuki at Tanjong Pagar is fabulous and there is like a whole stretch of Korean restaurants there. There is a newly opened Um Yong Baek Busan Pork Soup at Telok Ayer too!
Disagree
Disagree hdl is way better
-eaten both
Love the collagen soup and different types of homemade paste there and they have 20% discount after 10pm every night.
Curry is one of my absolutely favorite meals, this made me drool!!! 🤤
do a meet up in Singapore!!!
Mikey out here creating a customizable broth x2 for free.. while getting a gift bag of goodies. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🥰🥰🥰🥰 To live in MikeysWorld just for a day..🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
We soo love watching your videos but I gotta do the mom thing and say "stop wearing wrinkled shirts" your making me crazy 😜 Hope it's going well in Singapore 💕 Do love your videos.
Hey if you’re still in Singapore, I would highly recommend going to beauty in a pot, which many of us regard as better than hdl
It would be great to go out eating with mike
You should try Hippot at Bugis.
Robots? You. Ya no. Im walkin away!
You sure your viewers know who vageta and Goku is? 🤷♂️😂
Ngl... I might be feeling a little salty over that Vegeta comment lol
Looks" Amazingly Good!!
you need to try 'beauty in the pot' in Singapore, their collagen soup is to die for. i would say half the population thinks its better than haidilao. would love for you to try it out
That would still mean the other half likes HaiDiLao by your logic.
@@hectorcardenas6614 yeap, opinions quite split online when it comes to BITP vs HDL, would like Mike's verdict
@@evilbefall98 I would take his word as law lol. Whichever Mike chooses,, that's the best place.
Beauty In A Pot has AMAZING food. it is definitely Haidilao's biggest rival. Another great one is Tsukada Nojo with the most kickass chicken collagen broth everrrrrrrr
Yes their collagen soup is so good! I always go BITP over HDL
Amazing!
