I love these podcasts! So glad you guys are making these! The Exorcist really is a slow burn. While I love the movie, it gets harder to watch each time, feeling like it drags a bit more.
You're used to modern superhero movies where there's one cgi fx after another and explosions. The Exorcist was made when people cared about story and character. For me it's a fascinating movie and doesn't drag at all. It's not just a horror movie, but also an excellent family drama.
Fun Fact: Linda Blaire dated Rick James. In early 1983, she aborted their baby then informed him she had been pregnant after the procedure. James was hurt by her decision. He wrote "Cold Blooded" about Blair. Actually, that fact is not as fun as I thought it was going to be. Still pretty wild though.
