I have a 5T also, in my opinion it is the last OnePlus phone that doesn't feel like it isn't missing something.
I am going to get the 7 Pro though, purely for the screen.
Just saying that even if you get a 5t in this day you will still get great performance and a good looking phone. And just upgrading to a 7 for a larger screenbut no head phone jack, i don,t see the value in that.

I'm fortunate because the company that I work for is buying me the phone, but I do think the screen is a huge factor in my decision of what phone to buy. It is the one part of the phone that I interact with always, as apposed to headphone jack which I might use once a day.
Exactly, I don't know why people are all over the internet talking about the negatives of the phone. Which is very annoying. When a phone is released and it bad we'll complain when it's good we'll complain 🙍🏾♂️🤦🏽♂️
I'm thankful for the complaints, it was nothing but praise when I bought my galaxy s6 months after launch, got it and I hated it, then it took some more months before others started voicing the complaints I had about the device. At least with people complaining upfront, I can set my expectations going in

It's the perfect phone. I'm sorry but I haven't needed expandable storage since the HTC Sensation. I wish it were a little less expensive, but it's still beast. OP is getting my money again this year.
I own the phone, and while I do like it, it's far from perfect. I can live with no headphone jack, wireless charging, or expandable storage, but my main gripe is the curved display and the resulting glare. My Note 9 and Mate 20 Pro have curved displays but with far less glare. Also the auto brightness on the OnePlus 7 Pro is not as fast or reliable as on my Note 9 or Mate 20 Pro. In my opinion, the OnePlus 7 Pro is more of a gaming fun than anything else. If I had to buy just one phone I would spend a couple hundred bucks more and get an S10 which is superior to the OnePlus in every way except for screen refresh rate and performance (I'm referring to its lack of UFS 3.0).

I bought it and I came from a s8 plus and I don't regret my purchase but they need to upgrade the camera and I wish they learn from Google pixel 3a and hope the next one plus 7 pro 2.0 have a 21:9 aspects ratio for a more compact body like the new Sony phone and be perfect for everyone but they get a A- from me.

@@samiraria1818 smoother. The 90 hrtz refresh rate is insane. I'm not going back to I phone unless they follow suit and give me a 90 hrtz display and a 4k+ mAh battery. If you like I phone but are curious to try an Android this is the phone to go to. Fantastic phone.

I ordered a 7 pro recently, but it hasn't gotten here yet. That said, I can't believe how good the screen looks in your video. I kept thinking "this is one of those animated displays for advertising." Then I remembered this is a review. Man I can't wait to get my phone.

1. The headphone is not needed, people like you that clammer on to that very old and redundant technology are a minuscule demographic and should not be looking at flagships. Wireless is the future and people who want to hold back technology and look at something else. Samsung will remove it in the note 10, stop crying
2. Glass is premium, premium is nice when you're paying so much for a phone. Wireless charging is not a very good technological alternative to wires. They are slow and cannot be hassle free in use while charging. You and other biased people will pick slow wired charging and slow wireless charging over fast wired charging??

3. The IP rating is not a necessity. I cant believe people are willing to pay an extra 30$ for 2 letters and 2 numbers to a company that you probably dont even know about. Unless you're foolish and take pictures underwater with you phone without equipment, the water resistance provided is enough. Especially if ip ratings still dont give you water damage warranties.
4. Expandable storage has been rather slow and hassle some for me. And to get faster expandable storage it cost as much as to get more already fast usf 3.0 storage on the phone. Not to mention that it's not secure as people cant pick up your phone and steal it, that has happened to many of my friends. Oneplus provides good price increases forstorage, unlike the likes of apple, Samsung and google, and if a slot for a extra purchase means so much to you, you can go spend money on those phones and face buyers remorse.
5. This I can somewhat agree with, but you're contradicting yourself why need an ad card slot if you have that much base storage, and oneplus cant competitively price their phones if they invest in such expensively high storages, in goes against what they're trying to do as a brand.
6. I'm tired of this arguement, camera quality is very subjective at this point and all comes down to image processing and colors. If you dont like the colors on the oneplus, you can adjust them before or after the shit and save that template for future devices. For that price, you get three lenses when some fruit companies give you one for the same price. If that's your cup of tea, fine. But I'd rather versatility and the ability to download gcam to fix all those camera problems than to pay a premium for tech the oneplus has.
I really hope you read through this comment and understand my point of view. I just dont like the hate this phone is getting for not delivering such niche features compared to the amazing stuff the company is doing.

Been using mine for a week now, I absolutely love it. I was previously using a Pixel 2 but 4gb ram isn't cutting it in 2019. Also I've noticed my cell reception is slightly better with the OnePlus 👍
What's the camera like?
@@WhatTheFragrance The camera is good, def not as good as the pixel but perfectly fine for everyday pics. The most recent update helped, especially in low light. I really like the wide angle for outdoor shots.
I'll be getting my 12/256 7 Pro next week and this video is helping me feel good about my choice. Not that I felt bad, but rather uncertain.
I hope that I have no real issues with it though because OnePlus' support is abysmal. Some of the worst I've dealt with.

I think I'll upgrade to OP7 pro coming from an OP3T that still absolutely rocks. I have a good camera so I'm not reliant on smartphones for photos. I love OnePlus phones and you have just convinced me that is is the phone for me :)
As much as I like the 7 pro I decided to pick up the black shark 2 instead.

@@l9kl294 every phone is pretty much the same I can use a OnePlus 7 pro for gaming if I wanted too. They both have snapdragon 855 12gb and 256gb storage. I really don't care about camera I use my own Canon camera for pictures anyways.

I have had my one plus 7pro for 2 weeks know and it is amazing the oxygen os is amazing on this phone.... I had a s9 plus and wouldn't go back if you paid me and for the price and the earliest updates is worth it... Samsung phones always get updates late but never talks about that and it's wired that they don't but overall this phone is a monster.. #onnotchgang

Just got mine today it has been amazing. I came from a OnePlus 6 after using the 7 pro for about an hour I went back to the OnePlus 6 and the 6 felt well...not as good 😂...the 7 pro ruined the OnePlus 6 experience for me 😂
I'm a huge Apple fan. Had every iPhone starting from iPhone 4. I have had few Android devices in between and I do have love for Android as well. My point is I haven't gotten this excited over a phone in a very very long time. I smile like a toddler Everytime I pick up the 7 pro and use it.
I feel like a badass when I pick up mine. I'm so proud to own this device tbh. Btw I was an I phone user since the 4 was out but I started at the 3GS.
You really don't need those four things. Wireless charging is one the most overrated feature. When you have it you never use it. It is still too slow compared to wall charging. If you 256 GB internal storage you really don't need SD card. I haven't had Wired headphones for years. So there is no need for headphone jack. Water resistance certificate is just additional cost.
I have been using this 12 GB version for a week now. Usually I buy the most expensive phone in the market, but now I made an exception and I wouldn't be more happy I chose OnePlus 7 pro.
The Oneplus franchise did one hell of a job! Congrats, Ill buy one soon!
I'm tired of hearing the "wireless charging" nonsense. When we can charge our phones without setting them on a base (which is plugged in with a WIRE), then we can call it wireless. My god.

quality is still on par with the current flagships phones. Yes, you can
pick out some minor differences here and there but all in all camera
quality has not improved that much since 2015.
Taking photos at night are a major difference
LG and Sony offer the best vibration motor, they know how to make it useful, immersive and not boring
The only problem I have with the Oneplus 7 Pro is a common issue among newer phones. The few aspect ratios the camera offers are locked are locked in a certain resolution, 20:9 is offered with no resolution options and 16:9 isn´t a thing, I like to take large pictures and crop them which isn´t possible if I can´t choose a high resolution (large picture).
The Gcam mod I dowloaded does allow me to shoot at 16:9 but limited to 8 MP, most third party apps only deal with the basic sensor which is 12 MP in the 48 MP advertised camera, the 4x 12MP interpolated 48 MP picture can only be taken at Pro mode choosing the JPG48M option. This is clunky though and I wish app developers would incorporate a wider variety of resolutions within the various aspect ratios.

I have an iPhone xs Max too, but after I replaced my OP6 to a 7 pro I do all my browsing and scrolling in the 7 pro, this screen is a joy to use really! If it had the iPhone camera it could be superb!

I owned and returned this phone. IMHO:
Pros: Large screen, fast processor, very fast charging, lots of RAM, stylish
Cons: Battery is mediocre, aspect ratio is too wide, curved edges cause mistouches and reflections, motorized camera is a compromise, camera quality is really lacking.
Overall the phone is a speed demon. But speed isn't everything and I, for one, prefer a tight overall package that works well consistently.
The photos on the one plus are anything but. The display is beautiful but at a very odd aspect ratio it makes media consumption awkward. It is a nice phone but I prefer something in a more 16:9 aspect; wider and more comfortable to hold. And I need a device that is well optimized and takes amazing photos. For that reason o decided on a Pixel 3 XL. That phone does have some compromises too. But it's well built and feels good to.me, and checks boxes that are important to.my daily life. Oh and the photos are spectacular. Even in 2019.

I am basically concerned about its display.
I know its awesome with QHD+ resolution and 90Hz display and all.
But I work mostly outdoors in direct sunlight and I am currently using OnePlus 6 and its display has terrible sunlight legibility especially as compared to Samsung S10+ and iPhone XS Max.
In fact, it is so terrible that I am unable to see any video or content in direct sunlight on my OnePlus 6 on both manual and auto brightness modes.
So, I am concerned about 7 Pro's Sunlight legibility. Is it on par with S10+ ?
Is its screen quality better than S10+ and iPhone XS Max (other than brightness)?
And does it feel smoother than iPhone XS Max due to its 90Hz refresh panel? Because iOS is itself very smooth. I know Oxygen OS over Android feels much snappy and speedy as compared to iPhone but still iPhone feels much smoother than even Oxygen OS due to iOS. So, what is the case with OnePlus 7 Pro?????

A doubt, comrades! Which one will you go for? Oneplus 7 pro or Oppo reno 10x zoom. The latter has a much better camera, which is a big deal for me.
After buying the Oneplus 7pro there is no doubt that it's hands down the best phone money can buy right now. You get a lot of value and great user experience as always from oneplus devices.

It’s a very nice phone. However, on Amazon I’m seeing $900-$950 USD for the Pro. I was looking to buy but not at that price range. Maybe the price will drop in a few months. I’m curious how the speakers sound compared to the iPhone XS Max? Other vids show it to be close but no where near as good as Apples device

Lack of support for SD cards makes sense given the high speed memory and focus on quick loading. The pricing on higher tiers is sensible for once too: $30 for an extra 128GB of storage and 2GB of RAM where other brands would tack on $100.
I could also buy the argument that they sacrificed wireless charging for warp charging. It's probably just an excuse but the fast charging times certainly mitigate the issue.
What I don't buy and have never bought is the headphone jack argument. This is obviously just to try to sell more Bullets 2s. Not a deal breaker but greedy all the same.

Why is nobody talking about the bucket video that OnePLus uploaded? Many channels on YT have literally put the OP7 Pro in water for about 10 minutes straight, and still not experiencing any issue.
Matthew Moniz even left it in for over 30 minutes.
I won't upgrade to note 10 from my note 9 as they have switched the power button to the left, which is a thing i can't adapt to as a right handed guy.
This phone will be my new replacement for my note 9 when i'm tired of it.
