I am confused between Slavia & Virtus. Mostly talking about 1.5L engine. Which one is better in your opinion ?

Well i own skoda slavia 1.5 dsg. Both virtus and slavia are same cars with different looks. Also when buying people should consider delear review. For me both vw and skoda dealership was handled by same dealer so i didn't face that problem and went for slavia because of looks. Now for mileage thing it depends. LIke 2 out of 10 times i drive for fun and 8 out of 10 times i drive for mileaage. Also i bought 1.5 dsg as my highway run is around 70%. I live in noida and noida roads are good so i get mileage of around (summer 10-12/winters 12-15 without ac). In city drive i use light foot for driving.
For highway it depends like when i drive for mileage then at cruise speeds of around 90-95 or even without cruise.. car gives mileage of around 18-20 with ac and 20-22 without ac as 1.5 engine has ACT.
When i drive for fun on 100+ speeds and aggressive overtakes i get around 15-18 on ac and 16-19 without ac.. and with 4 people and luggage it decrease by 1-2 kmpl more.. also if you drive at speeds of around 130 it further drops to 12-14 range..
In congested cities mileage drops further.. like in west delhi mileage is around 7-9 in summers and 9-11 in winters. So if someone is living in a society with wide roads around.. mileage increases by 3-5 kmpl because of good roads like in noida with less traffic.

@@cartaalap usa aur europe main hyundai ko cheap brand bolte hai.. usa main tho hyundai par 1 billion dollars ka fine lag gaya because .. there cars can be hacked with a usb drives and stolen. In india also same problem is there.. so i advise not to park your verna on road at night in open. Subha na car milegi aur na hi uska tracing hogi.. and bluelink is easily hacked..

Bhai bumper to bumper traffic mein avetsge kam deti hai lekin kam traffic, open road ya highway pe badhiya milage bataya hai logon ne, dono engines ka.

Its an excellent vehicle with few niggles like low milage and Sub par AC. But as you said it makes every drive memorable.

Jis tarah Virtus 2k rpm k baad power deti hai usi tarah CITY bhi 3.5k rpm k baad Udati hai 7200 rpm tak..Aur Pehle 3 gear me jabardast grunt paida karti hai..
I will highly recommend you to drive honda city manual on empty roads on 1st 2nd and 3rd gear only and revv the engine till 7200 rpm which you haven't done..
It's a good NA but you can't compare turbo directly both are different technology

@@AuguryOmen based on what Honda discontinued there 1.8L NA and replaced it with 1.0L in foreign civic, Hyundai priced Older1.0L turbo Verna higher than older 1.5L NA Verna. 1.0L Turbo are better when it comes to highway performance almost every company have those they just don't bring it to India.

I own Taigun 1.0 MT. I do feel turbo lag in city but not much you can live with that. In open roads, it cruises and gives punch and stability at high speeds. As you rightly said driving VW cars is an experience and puts smile every time you drive. Mileage is not so great. I get 10 in city and 15 in highway conditions. Suspension is hard and you can feel it in bad roads. Every car comes with pros and cons. I feel overall it is a good package.

Have you observed brake noise in slavia 1.0 AT ?
I test drove slavia, i didn't observe any noise. Is this issue specific to virtus
well many cars both virtus and slavia are facing such problems.. and brake shoes are changed like every 10000-15000 kms.. and cost around Rs 6000 for 1.0 and Rs 7500 for 1.5 .. i own slavia and sometimes i too am getting noises.. done 9000 kms.

Humari Taigun Gt 30k plus chal chuki hai Stock brake pads se 50% still left sirf saaf karwane padte hai and left wale right aur right wale left mei lagwa dou Service centres ne bhai loot macha rakhi hai abhi to bolege ke disc bhi change karwa lo 1.5 mei Brake pad disc set nut bolt set plus labour 22k plus hai !

If you have a jack to lift your car up you can do it at ur home....just buy a new splash gaud.....unbolt the screws holding it and replace it

Planning to purchase base model of kushaq or creta. So my question is how much do you think would be the difference in the resale value of base model of both these cars after, say, 6 years :) I am value oriented as well, I want to know if the price difference is worth the fun
Sir 1-2 lakh ka difference ayega vw/skoda are known fir reliability and sedans comeback krri hn india me every manufacturer understood the importance of a sedan and launching their sedans in 2025, bindas lo enjoy kro car, ek bar test drive toh le hi lo, apne aap hi virtus slavia le loge
Offcourse Creta will have better re-sale after 6 years. As for what will you get for these are 6 years is anyone's guess coz who knows the future used car market. If I were value oriented , I would rather go with elevate,that has better engine than Creta not as good as Slavia , but it's a good comprise between performance & re-sale value.
Also VW cars are gonna get update this year so either wait or get discount on older model

Slavia and virtus is same.. just see delear review before buying. Well Honda City may be more comfortable.. but ground clerance of 15mm is between these sedans.. cars like innova or jeep compass ground clearance is also near 178mm and virtus/slavia is 179mm .. so they are practical sedans..

1.0 turbo is a scam, i drove all the sedan and then bought city v model after all my research and analysis. German 1.0 are overhyped. Verna non turbo is very bad. City is the best combo if budget is 15 lakh. For 20lakhs go for verna turbo

@@saurabhatutube see it depends on country's economy.. now in 10 years indian economy will be 3 times.. and income per capita will increase by 2.8x times.. that time people will go for cars who provide better handling and safety like it happened in china. Now SAIC motor in china is 3 largest car maker.. and it sells in paternership with VW group. Also home grown companies like tata has land rover.. and with such high incomes the car manufacturers will open their more factories in india.. even land rover and merc.. and prices will drop as it happened in china. and people will start buying more premium cars.. also incresing in expressways in india.. like 50% every year.. and new cities like navi mumbai .. pune or noida or gurugram are immerging which will provide better and brorder roads for even sedans to drive. So now things will start changing.. well they are changing since 2022.. but you will notice more with time.
