i just got mine and your video helped a lot. The instructions I got are all in Japanese. I will say it's a rugged watch but the numbers are very little in contrast to the size of the watch. My Timex Ironman shock watch is much smaller but much more legible than the G Shock King. $45 vs $215.

I assume this is because the multi band does not receive signal in AU. I will test if it updates (RCVD) on a trip to both US & UK in the next month. So I set my watch to LA time and now it's off an hour. because it keeps reading LA time. Does this mean I'll need to change to Denver time the. we are mountain time zone and then back to LA time when we are pacific time zone? Can I tuen the atomic sun off?

the closest tower to you is the one in germany. the maximum distance it can send the signal is about 1500km. i would guess you are too far to get a signal.
A friend received a watch like this from Japan and auto synching was turned off for Paris. It worked on all other European cities but for Paris which he wanted to use. It took a bit of a head-scratching to figure out what the problem was... You live and learn I guess :) Zs
@Zsolto66 Despite the fact that automatic atomic syncing was somehow turned off, you could always manually sync the watch with either Mainflingen, Germany or Anthorn, Great Britain towers.
I have question sir I wish u answer me what I want to know is the battery life for G shock watch especially any kind of tough solar so I want to know if the battery life stay for example 5 years can you change it or from the sun light ur not gonna changer at all my means is if it’s a tough solar it’s going to stay forever charge with light

@Gabe Ferlin No. GX-56BB-1 is a non-atomic version of King and the watch presented in this video is GXW-56-1B, the "W" letter in model code tells us that this watch is atomic time receiving enabled. All other functions are the same.

@@asifnadhiya3601 that is the DST setting, for places that observe daylight savings time, or Summer time. Maybe your location is out of reach of the atomic towers so it can't be set to AUTO, or maybe you have the solar ONLY, not solar atomic variant of the watch as they look the same
this is approximately the same size as the mudman g9300, but with less features - no thermometer, no compass - therefore not worth the money, in my opinion. Also, the time digits are the same size as the mudman g9300. It would be worth considering if the digits are significantly larger.

I got (or rather assembled) GXW-56GB-1, but with positive display from GXW-56-1B and I love it. It spent whole summer vacation time on my wrist.

Solar watches don't need battery replacements unless you keep discharging them completely
