Frenzy barb is so fun. Mine rocks Grief+Breath of the Dying and a Fortitude armor. Dracs instead of Laying of Hands lets you do Ubers with it relatively safely
Using a Grief + Lawbringer on my barb; the +800% damage to undead and breaking their physical immunities is awesome. Also using a Treachery instead of a Fortitude; loving the curse reduction.
Im a large fan of the Singer Barb. Its very safe, and with a single point on grim ward and some into find potion, you can kill relatively quick. And a great Trav runner.
For those wondering why its fine for the mercenary to get kills when the mercenary has way less mf than the player character. Mercenary kills use their mf plus the player character mf for drops.

for throw barb, change gloves to lava gout, nosferatu for belt, gface(15ias) for helm, highlords for ammy, treachery for body armor, raven and any dual leech for rings and you wont be needing any sunder charms and berserk skill. you can kill everything, you will have 140% IAS and if you can acquire a faith bow with +15 fanaticism for act 1 merc, you will achieve 7 frames AS
Berz + whirlwind is best option imo. Whirliwind for taking groups and berz for single monster and 0 skills into magic find (use special dagger for such purpose and skiller charms to increase its level even more). One build which you didn't mentioned and it is worth to notice is concentration barb.
I was doing 100 countess runs yesterday, no announcement in message log, D-Clone spawned ...shat myself having him in that little room 😂😂 lured him out to the main hallway, put guilemme face on my paladin, bface mask on my insight Act 2 merc and a poison small charm so i can see when PMH was active, thank fuck i had 1 point wonder in smite. Got my first Anni - 18/16/8 not bad....on top of that, next run i got harlequin crest shako from an elite ghost pack 🤙🤙 thank you phil for your tips on crushing blow & PMH vs dclone
Having one point in frenzy for WW Barb built will make him better. Just attack the first enemy with frenzy to raise your speed and then you will WW a lot faster

Hey! I would like to make a remark on Thrower Barb. Since you have Warshrike, that gives 50% pierce, and your Throw Mastery, that gives next 50% pierce when leveled enough, you don't really need either Wisdom or Razortail. Am I right? Correct me, if I am wrong. Piece. Also, on Frenzy Barb, you maxed Double Throw instead of Double Swing (for synergy).
Just made a single player barb. Was a bit of slog till I got high enough level to wield grief. But once I had grief he was awesome and even more awesome once he was high enough level to wear enigma.
My barb is max ww, with 1 in frenzy, max bezerk, high lvl find item/potion. I find a hybrid build works best, hits like a tank even in p8 hit frenzy, switch to ww and zerk, unstoppable, i run a grief with botd, he's 99 with 250mf, dual hoto on swap) mostly max damage/mf charms
So the trick to a real crazy frenzy build is max double swing max bash points into frenzy enough for the 5 swing speed bonuses then use double swing dude starts swing axes faster than you can see melts bosses grief/ botd is a good combo as well
I like the barb i got 2 WWbarbs, currently making a throw barb cuz i got the uniques you want, and i am planning to make a singer barb, haven’t made a frenzy barb or bezerker
With enough ias frenzy will always do more damage. That being said double swing is good when mana burned or when you don't have time to build up frenzy.
Zerker MF barb is the absolute beast in the game, with such a high MF + find item you even do not need players X. The only requirements are Grief and Enigma for a kill speed that are not cheap
I know it's anecdotal but both me and my buddy think they stealth nerfed Horking or Trav lol. Both of us have been running for the past 8 days since we started ladder with horkers, managed to get them geared with a sorc but we are legit finding ZERO things from Trav. Nearly 1k+ runs combined and not a single thing to show for it outside maybe 1 skiller and 100 tals masks. Last season it was legit night and day difference, tons of runes, tons of everything from low to high unquies we geared ourselves within maybe a week of playing. Now? I'm not even horking a single unique with 700+ mf after 25+ runs it's insane. Thought about recording everything just to prove we either have the worst luck on the planet or something is wrong.
Just fyi on your frenzy build you maxed double throw and not double swing but What I noticed cause I’m always helping rushing with barb the thing that sucks is overall barb lacks alot of damage when doing party’s of 4 and more. Very weak compared to other builds it’s kinda sad.
Whirlwind SHOULD be the best melee in the whole game. Unfortunately the skill is absurdly clunky and requires lots of mana. Sorry but I'll pass. I tried but it's an absolute joke.
Why Dual Grief I use BotD and Last Wish but ha that's me and I find it a waste to Howl unless im going to die I take on Packs with my Zerker/ww/Mfer You just need 1 point into WW to get shiz done yes might take you a moment to kill a pack but it will go down.
with this patch and all the overpowerd runewords like grief it dosnt even mather what u spec .. u will oneshot anything in the game anyways with some gear.
here are other options: get up to normal with best rare, set or unique items which you find, use basic runewords such as steel or stealth. Use act 2 merc with defensive aura and at least one lifesteal item. Find better equipement and do a nightmare black tower runs to kill bloody baron for runes. Upgrade your unique items to nightmare difficulty items. Finish your nightmare level. In hell go with your nightmare items to bloody baron and get your first lum rune for smoke runeword and survability. Next find lem and pul runes and upgrade your rest equipement. Go to travincal and find highest runes. Do a grief double sword or breath of undying. GG. Focus in euipement in such features: + to skills, + to dmg, + to all resistances, + to def, + to mana, +to lifesteal, +to health, at least one cannot be frozen item (ravenfrost is best option), +to crushing blow, +to dmg change on mana or mana for each kill or manasteal,
Bro, why dafuq are you using find item/potion before you maxed your battle orders and/or battle command. This is astonishingly foolish. The find item is OK for a magic-find build. I won't even comment how absurdly useless is the Find potion skill. l2p
none of this is true - you can't survive NM with 2 handed weapons. Which means that you need to respec in hell, but you wouldn't do that until you've beaten the game, rendering the entire frenzy/dtrhow obsolete. it would work in party, but solo, not a chance.
Lololo i do easy trav runs. You just have bad gear. Focus on getting as much def and resistances as possible. Then get you biggest dmg weapon. I use rare berserker gothic axe upgraded twice. It does 3+ k dmg. Better option might be dual grief swords but they are really pricefull.
The weapons and auras and mercenaries used make these builds. Not the skill points homie. Grief and lawbringer with a barbarian Merc using grief and hustle will do amazing wether your damage is 700-1000 or 2500-4000. It's all so powerful because of decrepify or sanctuary. Just get that attack rating up or ignore those targets defense 😊

I'm sorry, but this video is trash.... as someone who has played since d2 LOD launch I'm so tired of people making generic videos without any data backing it up.... How about instead of showcasing random kills with perfect gear, why not talk about the pros and cons of each, the kill speed issues, and all the other negatives of each build. Why would I suggest this??? Well,,,,, because someone may want to use their last respect to do one of these builds thinking they can be successful, only to find out the build is trash unless they are fully geared.... Example is, if someone got to hell using a singer barb and now wants to switch to melee. They chose frenzy. And they find out they can barely kill anything in a small mob ESPECIALLY on anything above players 1. d2 is one of the most difficult games ever and to speak about a barb build like it's going to be easy and fun is just plain false. It's a grind. And requires lots of thought.

Ok, I have one non eth lacerstor, and then random gear.. got leveled to 70 and went out in a1 with 8 people in the game and throw is doing some work!!

Frenzy question: What is your main attack? Is it always Frenzy, or do you use Frenzy to get charged up and then switch to Double Swing?
With enough ias frenzy will always do more damage. That being said double swing is good when mana burned or when you don't have time to build up frenzy.
double swing is better for a 1-4 point investment.
Frenzy is trash until its 10+

Agreed, I use it and my MF is 611 without charms. I farm Trav all day for high runes and uniques and charms.

Honestly the only Barb that is worth it in the long run is Zerker, you'll never go broke, run trav and profit.

Step 1: pay money to get a Grief and Enigma
Step 2: then maybe play the game

WW bard sucks. Can’t even do Travincal which is a Barbs go to rune farm.
