My favorite take on the singer build is using Metalgrid and having an Insight golem and then a Reapers Toll A2 Merc. Getting those decrep procs is massive for clear speeds. Using magefists to still stay at 105+ fcr. The stun mechanic on Warcry makes it that the golem rarely dies, and Insight is cheap when he does. A fun alternative.
That's a great idea that I hadn't thought of or seen anyone mention before. I was thinking of using Insight on swap for my singer to eliminate some of the mana issues, but this sounds better to me.
Just found your channel and loving the content! I will say something I enjoyed with summon necro back in the day is throwing those extra points into revive for bosses. Skeles and CE are so solid for clear but struggle to speed through bosses even with nice gear and amp. However summoning up some Urdars for their innate Crushing Blow. It's a great setup that excels against extremely high HP bosses that you'd normally bog down on with a Skelemancer like Baal. Finally we can get "close" to the damn light sorc thanos snapping bosses every 3 seconds.
figured id give my fav 3 as well: 1. death web poison necro (something so satisfying about tele stomping mobs with poison nova and just melting enemy health and mobs go down quick if the build is right) 2. Phy Bowazon (if it wasnt for how expensive this build is i would prob rank it #1, i absolutely love phy bowazon) 3. Frenzy Barb (so satisfying slicing and dicing everything and with each hit you move faster and faster!) (with honorable mentions being cold sorc and hammerdin since i tend to make one of those every season anyways for farming lol) AFTER watching: think im gonna try NOVA sorc out next season. for some reason just never got around to building one, always just went with the good ole light/ chain light sorc but nova seems pretty fun honestly. thanks for the vid
Tribrid paladin is my favorite. You can do all content in the game very well. It takes a few very specific rare gear pieces to reach its full potential though
Question for you. Do you like insane mobility? Do you value rune drops and superior basses more than GG uniques? Do you like the fantasy of being super powerful (max damage charms vs max MF charms)? Do you like the liquidity of runes over the hassle of bartering for items? Then the best choice is Nova Sorc.
I have always been partial to my ww barb with dual grief, all my characters over the years and when I just want to shut off my brain and grind for fun, I find myself on him. Close second is probably my dragondin, especially when the cold act 5 zones are terrorized and I can 1-2 shot everything down there even in hell. I MF on a blizz sorc, at 3rd favorite. I gotta admit your favorites threw me, I think the only one I have that you showed was the summon necro, but to each their own!
i have a summon necro but i use beast and a physical sunder, insight iron golem and might aura merc with pride. this gives you tons of auras for the summons. i would also recommend using magefist instead of trangs cause it gives +1 to fire skills and corpse explosion actually counts as one. so it's the better option than curses imho.
I don’t know if the physical sunder helps much tbh. Amp damage lets you handle physical immunes already, and your minions are way less tanky with their own def being dropped
@@Rogar79 you should stop hating on things just cause other people tell you to, but maybe you lack enough intelligence to come up with your own opinion, kid.
Anyways, it warms my heart to know that D4 is here to stay for many more years, and while y’all cry about it some of us will be enjoying both d2r and d4 lol
I think one of the most fun builds I have ever played was a poison nova necro.. yes you need a dweb and enigma to really crush with it but if you can get your hands on them items it is an s tier build for me
Depends what you mean by "classic version". Current d2, not D2R. No didn't work. Old old d2 version. Like the 2002 version, Pre synergies ya nova was great.
Nice d2r, keep it up phil, maybe some challenge like offline barb from scratch to trav melter and make a vid out of it with clips and your comment, would be awesome.
Any chance you could discuss a build or two that can get Torches and Annis in single player? I see lots of people putting them in their builds but I don't think any of my single player characters could do it.
Dual Dream + Fist of Heaven is the most relaxing thing for me. Because you have max Conviction and 30 lvl holy shock from items. Enigma, 2 x Dreams, HoTo, Arach-Belt, 2x jordans, Mara, Trang-Gloves, Battle boots ) + Torch and Anni = +14 to all :P
I'm very surprised you use such a high stats req polearm for your infinity base, is it because u want the flexibility to give it to a merc or is there a reason I don't see ?
One of the things I absolutely hated about D3 (not sure about D4 since I haven't played it, and I probably won't for at least the 1st full year of release) is that there was no real individuality between character classes. The Witch Doctor was, for all intents and purposes, the replacement for the Necromancer and was the "summoning class". But almost all the classes had you summoning help. Same thing with shape change. There was no Druid in D3, who is a player favorite that could change into a Werewolf and a Werebear. Blizzard's crack team of idiots decided that the Druid shouldn't be allowed to be the only class to do that, so almost every class had some alternate form that was more powerful than their regular form. The Wizard had the Archon ability, Demon Hunter had Vengeance, the Barbarian could transform into Violent Santa Claus, etc. They decided everyone should have an ultimate form, while also being able to summon help. It just seemed to take away the individuality of what made D2's character classes so unique and fun. If you did things right, had the gear and the correct skills, you could make it to where you're basically the secondary form the entire time you play, or you could keep your summoned creatures permanently. When they finally released the Necromancer it was too little too late; and what once made the Summoning Necro unique and awesome is now commonplace with basically every class. To make a long story even longer, D3 took everything that made D2 awesome and ruined it. I really hope they listen to the fans on D4 because a lot of what I'm seeing, reading and hearing, Blizzard is making a lot of the same mistakes they made with D3, and that's too bad. The only good news is they seem more receptive to fan suggestions on how to make the game better. We'll see. If not, we'll always have D2R.
i used to play Necro-Summoner, until i tried Druid-Summoner... i beat the entire game with it, no problems. D2R has made DS more powerfull than ever. Skills: few points on Werebear, Lycanthropy and 1 to Shock Wave, then 20 points on all the animals + a spirit. You transform, shock the monsters, and your horde kills them for seconds. Add a merc with aura for extra fun...
@@sprtsfn09 a rogue with 'Edge' word bow, gives Thorns Aura to the animals. Also stacked some poison dmg for her. But i'm looking for runes for Faith word (for a bow) - it gives Fanaticism aura to all...

Nice to see some d2r content. I like you necro build. Necro was the best due to being naked with max mf. Don't you find wearing mf gear pointless now due to the ritual/ghost thing ? I wonder if the ritual affects barbs find item skill ?
Why is this Infinity on Mancatcher and not on Brandistock or Scythe? u need 100+ dex that way this could go on Energy is there anything i miss or you just don't have the runes to make it again on better base for nova sorc?
@@SweetPhil Thats what i thought thanks for the reply. I'll do mine on eth brandistock for my Single Player holy grail couse i've never played nova sorc and it seem like a lot of fun ;)
You are actually wrong about the iron golem sticking around since D2R. This was already a thing in normal D2 but ONLY if it was created by a Necromancer with at least one skill point invested into iron golem. The unique amulet Metalgrid (or any other source that can create an iron golem) won't allow that. Not that it would matter. A lvl 22 iron golem without extra health or resistance would melt super fast.
Didn't buy D4. The talent trees in 4 look awful, the items look like a step backwards, and the classes look boring and plain. D4 is just a downgrade from D2.
Trapsin is still my favorite. Especially now that they introduced sunder charms, and fixed the minus lite resist for traps. Now she absolutely destroys everything in any place in the game you want to do.

None of those builds are budget though. All have super expensive gear. And especially minion necro must have enigma or build wont work properly, because teleporting is only way to control minions. And teleporting charge stuffs are not really viable option.
