  • This is really two tutorials wrapped into one! First I show you how to start off a flower/daisy cuff and then I kick it up a notch by showing you how to create a 3D spike cuff!
I hope I was able to explain everything as clearly as possible, but if you do have any questions, feel free to ask me and I'll try to answer them as best as I can.

Hey, I know I'm late but I'm not quite sure how to tie off the spine. Could you explain it in a bit more detail?

Okay, so depending on how you want it to look, you can go about it a couple of different ways.
      1. You can use the same technique I showed in this video, but instead of stringing just 3 beads (a petal, a center, and then another petal), string on more beads. Make sure you're stringing an odd number of beads though. I should warn you though, that just by doing this will cause the spike to get longer, and if you add on too many beads it's going to start looking weird.
      2. Instead of stringing your elastic through petal beads, start the spike from the border beads (so all the columns with only 3 beads). You'd use the same technique but just stringing through border beads. Also, because there is more of a gap between border beads, you're going to have to string on more beads in order to create a nice looking spike. Again, just string on more beads if you want the spike to be larger.
Hope this helped. Let me know if you still need clarification. :)
