Another excellent video. Love your calm, clear and factual presenting style. Full of hints and tips all the way through. Thank-you for taking the time and trouble to do this.
Mate great upload, beginning to think grant has blessed these rod's,,, using mine this autumn has been a learning curve but a successful one. Trying to explain how light and responsive 12ft of rod feels is the difficult bit,, keep em coming Cal. Awesome Chanel 💯👍
Good fish there cal I'm up in north Wales and it's not to good on the bass front tbh. hopefully few more bass will come up soon.🤞 Keep up the good work
Thanks. I’ve been enjoying using the longer rod. I’ve been out with my lighter/shorter rod lately too and I also really enjoy using lighter gear for bass fishing as well.
Always look forward to your videos and this one didn’t disappoint 😃😃😃👍🎣💪….lovely 58 cm bass! Well done and here’s to more great informative videos!…..keep up the good work, best wishes and all the best from Alderney xx
There's one spot I go to, south coast of England that I only seem to get Bass when it's flat calm it's weird, another place only a few miles away is better when it's quite choppy so kind of standard. I had a "one that got away" moment today, didn't feel like a Bass though.
That rod just seems an awkward length when your trying to land fish. I've seen Grant's vids and know he is using it to access fish at a distance with heavier lures, it just seems at odds with how and where yout fishing. Sorry for being critical, I love your vids and enjoy them all.
Yeah I’ve had to explain this a lot of times already. The rod isn’t designed for this type of fishing no. I intend to use it abroad but in the meantime, I’ve been using it over here to get a feel for it.
Happy to see you catch that lovely Bass. Happier still to see you keep it. The video was excellent, I enjoyed it very much. Keep them coming Cal.
Thank you Yvonne, it was a lovely fish that 🎣

Brilliant, as per usual. Nice to see you using a proper rod again! Hopefully, you will bring 11-12ft rods back in fashion. Tight lines

Well done cal love the vids
Thanks mate 🤙🏼
As always brilliant fishing and loved the video!!
Definitely get the 165 as haven’t got that.
Cheers and have a great weekend!!
Cheers mate. The 165 is great! It doesn’t seem like a huge lure once you’ve used it. Will be fine on a shorter rod with the right casting weight too.
Awesome fish, great session with the big rod! 👍🐟
Thanks 👍
Very nice catch Cal! Keep em coming! Good luck with the slabtober comp!!
Cheers mate 🤙🏼🎣
Lovely fish
Great content as always Cal, very informative and enjoyable to watch! You've really educated me on my bass journey I've started this year.

Yeah I know what you mean. Just goes to show you can never really predict bass fishing.

How many patchinko's do actually own cal
Not many. Maybe 7 or 8, ranging from the 100 to 165 👍🏼
Why don't you use a landing net?
I’m not a fan of carrying too much. Nets are a pain
@@FISHINGWITHCAL
But better for the fish not getting dragged across the rocks
@@dmg2095 Yes that’s true.
