The original looks a lot better than this remastered one, It kind a looks like Freddy Krueger is really charcoal. They also did this with the original 30th anniversary 1984 Freddy Krueger and also this one as well, freddy looks really charcoaled, I don’t like the looks of it.
My favorite of them all, not a neca guy but this is a must have 😎
That's really interesting that you did a review on this one. Part 2 Freddy got a re-release there at the end of 2022 and he's got a lighter paint scheme on the burned body parts, as well as face printing on the Freddy heads. It was such a drastic improvement that I had no problem picking the figure up. Definitely keep an eye out for that version. It's real easy to tell which is which too.
I feel like this Part 3 might be a mid-way move for them to release a face print version though. But who knows.

Interesting review. I asked NECA why they haven't done a part 4 ultimate Freddy and they confirmed they still have the rights. Wonder what the wait is.
Awesome review. I like the Ultimate Freddy figures we've seen so far, but I really feel like we need a Neca Freddy figure with way more articulation; double elbows, more ankle range, torso range, the works, that is obviously discounting all the rights issues.
I have this and the recent Ghostface figurine with the material robes. And every Neca Jason except Part 7 and Nintendo. Would be good to set them up with my JoJo stuff and old Spiderman, Pirates of Caribbean characters and Black Pearl ship.

I have the 2021 reissue and the paint job on the face looks even worse than both versions we see here lol.
I have a 2018 lot Freddy and it appears to be the same as the 2016 and I actually like the darker and dirtier looking sweater of the original release over the 2022 version.

10:29 that's how NECA should do the Leech Woman Puppet Master figure, to be able to wear the different outfit from part 3 instead of the regular part 1 outfit.
I don't have the original version,so that means I'm obligated to take this reissue.However not gonna lie I kinda like this more black colour of the skin.

Spot when you did the Nightmare on Elm Street 3:Dream Warriors Ultimate Freddy Krueger figure, I had been unaware of what NECA was all about. I may have seen them at Toys R Us, but since they weren't where the Marvel Legends figures were, or the Star Wars Black Series figures, I probably passed or dismissed them as I walked to the Legends figures. However when I "Spotted" sorry, your channel I was psyched. You had done a Spooky Spot, if I remember correctly back then, and I saw another great Horror iconic figure, the Friday the 13th part III in 3-D Ultimate Jason Voorhees figure. After those two videos/reviews I was a NECA-MANIAC. Again I'm sorry. The NECA figures had exceptional quality. Their paint applications were (sorry again for the pun.) "Spot-on" perfect. The articulation wasn't like say a Marvel Legends figure, but WHEN did Jason Voorhees EVER get into a pose like say🕷🕸Spider-Man?🕸🕷 Never. The accessories that they included were also incredible, AND PLENTIFUL, as well as nicely detailed too. All in all they were really great recreations of their Movie counterparts. So I looked at some other figures you reviewed. Everything you showed was decent. There were a few duds, but overall, the good ones overshadowed the bad. My collection of NECA figures grew quick. I FINALLY found a 🎃👻Halloween👻🎃 Micheal Myers figure, and I was so happy to finally have it. Halloween is one of my all-time favorite horror movies. I also got an Alien 3 figure. Later a friend got me a Back to the Future part 2 Biff Tannen figure. It had the Oooh La La 📖Book📖. There's a couple more, but my wish list is HUGE! The Back to the Future Biff Christman🎁present🎁 got me to look at the other's from that line. The Marty McFly from BTTF #1 & #2 are both awesome! Plus I really want that Little HOVERBOARD! Also Doctor Emmett Brown from all of the movies? Perfectly done and again great accessories. Now the Biff Tannen from Back to the Future Part 2 is another👍great👍figure.👌 The Predators line-up is also a great set. NECA figures are not 100% perfect every time out, however they are still basically the same price, they all come "Usually" with a huge amount of accessories. Again NOT the best articulation though. But many of the figures are decently posable. Thanks to Spot I found my favorite genre of action figures, HORROR. Oh I forgot my Gremlins, and my Gargoyles. Those are also very well done too.
Skin tone on the original is way better
If they are going to call it an ultimate Freddy they should at least include multiple different hands for the glove hand, and also make the glove hand out of sturdy plastic so the blades don’t look like bent steak knives
Ive been trying to figure out what a Part 6 Ultimate Freddy would be.
Now i know, since the Wolfman figure release.
They could make it where you can swap out his hands and head for the not burned Freddy. The accesories would be a powerglove (of course), a chalkboard and some dream demons.
Great looking figure hope u got a half decent quality one my one the hand got stuck in glove broke off the hand the peice for mind holding the leg in place broke by its self my rating for looks of figure 10/10 for quality 1/10
Great review! I think the skin tone on the new figure doesn't look as good in my opinion, there seems to be too much black wash perhaps.

question, i never picked up the original version and frankly i prefer it far better than the new reissue specifically because of the paint job for the head. is it too late to find the original version anywhere? does neca only produce this new reissue now?

When I used to spent more time on the boxes@@luiscruz4220I was getting comments to just get to the figure which is why I stopped doing that part in reviews

I think this is just a cop out from neca so they don't have to bother making a new figure I'm not impressed by them at the moment they really need to make some new stuff with improvements instead of this reissue stuff which in my opinion looks the same as the original with just a different paint job there's no way I'm buying any if the reissue ones I'm actually getting some of the original neca stuff including the cult classics which I think looked really good
