Don’t know why they bother on doing Bootlegs, they put a bad reputation on the company and discourage us on buying the real product, because it’s always uncertain if is a fake or real figure, damn shame, great reviews by the way and thanks for exposing the fakes.
To be honest the ko is not that bad at all. If you're a customizer or someone who does toy refurbishing some of these figures could be decent projects that could end up looking better than the original... For this one readjustment of the limbs like the neck that's an easy fix and also some paint detail and if you want you could add a little more sculpt to bring out the burns... I bought two broken Freddy's from a flea market and I replaced the claws with metal ones turned out amazing... So if my choice was to pay $100 for an older figure or I just couldn't find it.. I don't mind getting a ko and putting in the work to make it even better than the original it becomes more of a customized piece
Thats what I always say is if your happy with the figure than that is what matters. Some of these figures can be really over priced and getting for $20 an throwing some paint on it is a steal.

It's the newer fake ones that have been amazing. The older ones they released weren't done so good. They have gotten better since the first ultimates released. I just ordered another Dancing Pennywise to see if buying it from a different bootleg company makes any difference

I definitely see more of an accurate facial description on the fake, but the head shape & paint makes him look like something from Dawn of the Dead, instead of Freddy
With these I would take either one.. maybe I’m being biased because I just realized mine is the knockoff.. damnit lol.. bought it on eBay when I was a much more inexperienced buyer

I don't think that's a legit feature to judge on. My version of the figure is without a doubt the official NECA release, however, the box does not contain the WB logo. That could have just been a case of different print runs on the box.
So does the part 2 not get faked? I see no UA-cam videos on that one, I had it but gave it to my daughter, the one that's in the bigger box and comes with two dogs.

On the box: It has darker green colour on the "3" (not almost fluorescent like the originals), the store display "hanger" is on the opposite direction, and is smaller and tinner than otters of the ultimate line editions. The back text is kinda green and blurry. The overall box colour is darker. The plastic string that attach the figure inside is black, and not silver as usual. Thanks in advance

I bought a part 3 from a convention recently for a very reasonable price & it looks good, HOWEVER on bottom of the box where it names the "fabricator" "director" "photography" etc. the 4th one down is "PAINT" and mine is spelled "PANINT". Otherwise it has no issues that yours have.. Could it be an improved fake? I'm scratching my head... Lol
No the panint on it is just a typo they all have that for this figure.mine has it as well and I know for a fact mine is legit. Also if you look on the back of the 2 boxes the real version always says at the bottom what's included in the box the fakes dont
How are fakes produced? I just bought mine at Target, and the color of packaging looks like the fake here. I doubt they’d have fake products at Target, but still

They haven't made that fake version yet from what I've seen. Have you seen the fake any where? The only Ash I've seen fake is the SDCC 2012 Exclusive and the newer red box ones but not the ultimate.

The fakes are just reprinted boxes so they will have the same number as the real. You would have to look closely at the figure an videos to compare the differences.

The difference between the real and the fake is not big enough to justify the price disparity. You can pick up a great fake for 12 bucks
There do be crazy price differences to the figures and practically the same figure especially with the newer ones.

I would hazard to guess people aren't purposely buying the fake ones. At the time I bought mine, I had no idea so many fake NECA figures existed.

The only tape they havent been able to duplicate is the 2 inch tape. The circle tape and 1 inch tape they use for the fakes.
