Nick I have the Newport 36 lbs thrust kayak trolling motor to connect behind me seat. And have 2 lithium batteries plus a Gramin echo plus CV 4 inch with 20 transducer brand new. Wish to get the 1 inch seat riser front and rear for the seat.
Excellent job of putting together the entire package of what's needed. My Striker 4 opened up a whole new world of where I was on the lake and what was under me.
I’ve seen it work without issue but I’ve also seen it turn into more of headache then anything else. I prefer to mount the transducer high enough that it doesn’t hit anything and call it a day.
I did the inside the hull using the duct seal on my OT MK106 and it worked great. You will not get a water temperature reading but all else was fine. Search YT for more info.
This would have saved me time and money starting out. I wasted money with those Lead Acid lawnmower batteries for years. Every season I would have to change them. I did have the Garmin Striker 4 CV as my first fish finder. It was great for what it was, then I wanted to find my own private spots which requires either side scan or lots of luck.

It fits. We shipped these out to 120 owners. It’s one of the reasons the kit was created. We should have them back in stock next week.

how would this do for deep water like lake Michigan or any of the great lakes?
The unit will scan up to 1600’ in freshwater. You’ll be good to go.
