What do you think we should do to the Old Town 106 paddle kayak first?
I think you should put a Newport 180Pro on the back and set it up with foot steering. Also build a junk drawer for under the seat.

I would say xi3 and torqueedo/nk series mounts would probably make this boat a killer all arounder for lake/river fishing
106 with power pole is river fisherman dream. Just need to sit a little higher

I have the menkota version and would love a swivel seat.
I had looked at the 106 a few years back as the price was very appealing at only $999.
But now the price is $1299.? Yikes! Not bad if you find a deal like you did but, here in Japan I'd have to order new from the base. :( that's a big no sale for me. :(
Ya, the prices on everything are way higher than they use to be. Looks like prices will drop a bit due to lack of demand in the coming months though.

The seat risers already exist on the website. This kayak uses the same as the AutoPilots.

Native is a huge pain to deal with, but the kayaks are becoming extremely popular. I have lots of ideas for you when you get one in. 🙂
I’m thinking about getting this, but I do have some concerns. I would be using it for fishing, so with me having to paddle then get my pole ready I feel like that would get aggravating after a while. I like the PDL version cause I don’t have to worry about padding while also fishing. But it’s just so expensive. How do you like padding with it? Tiring and how does this one do in currents?
I usually turn mine over in the surf for easiest access to the drain plug 😁

I have a topwater 106, does not track well, adding a rudder would not be easy due to the handle placement. The 120 looks like they set it up to add the rudder though, not sure why the 106 is configured differently.
