I’m beyond excited! I understand people’s trepidations and cautionary way of thinking but I honestly think this movie is going to be amazing! I have confidence Marvel and I fully expect my expectations to be met! So yes while I agree this is a turning point and could be a make or break type of movie I’m going the optimistic and positive route with it!

Quick tempered, a straight horny ladies man that'll do anything to save his friends without thinking about himself. Iceman had no hints of being gay prior to 2015, most people like to bring up the fact that in 1963 in the very first issue of the X-Men when Professor-X is telling them that a girl/Jean grey is joining the school/team he said ''a girl big deal'' and use that as ''proof that iceman was always gay'' when that quickly gets disproves when a fan asked stan lee if Iceman was always gay he responded with ''well i certainly didnt write him gay in 1963'' which doesnt mean that Iceman was gay it just means that he wasnt interested in her and the only people who defend the decision that Marvel or more specifically Brian Michael Bendis made are you guessed it apart of the lgbtq group. Another thing that people bring up is that he dated Cloud (if you dont know she can turn into a guy and a female) when that was the whole reason he broke up with her bc he wasnt comfortable dating her. I see people's use of nostalgia bait as a derogatory a bit weird for the saga, especially because the selling point of the Multiverse saga is that we are joining with the pre-mcu movies. The 'Infinity Stones' of these movies are the crossovers.
I haven't watched a lot of MCU after endgame but this does look fun and hopefully they learned from the mistakes of the last few big multiverse type movies. That new captain america trailer did nothing for me

With Deadpool & Wolverine being the MCU's first R-Rated film, yes, this is a turning point for the franchise. Assuming the Punisher continues in TV/Disney+ original series format, he could be in the Marvel Television Spotlight Banner for the more "mature" stories like Echo was. With the MCU finally adapting to its audience and realizing that PG-13 doesn't work for every character, having their first R-Rated film be something that they know is going to make bank is a very good sign.
All Ik is that this won't be Ryan and Hughs last performance. They're definitely gonna be in Secret Wars cause this is the multiverse saga. And Hugh did say he would love to be on stage/ on screen with his best friend Ryan, RDJ, and Tobey Maguire. So if this happens. I can be happy
Realistically the mcu should further embrace the R rating. Like yeah sure you still have your kid friendly characters like Spider-Man etc. but some movies should just embrace the comics and send it
