Bro you’re going to love the bidet, it’s literally like taking a shower, feeling fresh quality of life is much better
Welcome back!
I always realize how much useless junk Americans have in their homes when I’m living in Colombia.
Thank god he’s back! What a legend 🇺🇸 🇨🇴
I live in Miami and I pay $1200 for a small efficiency (one room with small bathroom and small kitchen counter),your place looks like a palace compared to mine. Live in Miami is getting very expensive.Every day I see more and more homeless people.
The bidets are very common throughout Asia. You look super happy. Get that menu del dia!
I got zapped from one of those suicide showers one time LOL. It wasn't a strong jolt but enough to get my attention. Your reaction to the bidet was pretty funny :)
I still wash most of my clothes by hand. Machines ruin clothes
I had a hotel in Riberalta Bolivia that I was getting shocked when I turned on the water.
I am in Malibu next to Belen
Been coming to Medellin before the pandemic for 8 years. Now their many foreigners in Medellin. The most I have seen
Scary 😨
22,000 COP is about 5.50 USD : p
Welcome back to Medellin Dude! I will be there in Summer. Went last year and it is a wonderful place!
I am Colombian living in the US, I just have to say that bigger built in closets are the standard, as well as normal size refrigerators that you see in the states. Colombian women in particular love to follow trends in fashion, so they do have quite a bit of clothes to store. of course if you go to lower cost studios you’re going to find smaller appliances and spaces in noisier locations. I guess everything has to do with perspective, glad you like Medellin, it is a beautiful city!
👏👏👏👍 welcome back…
Not a bad place for the money👍 At least you’re back in Medellin 😀
Dude!!! Finally!! You’re back in Medallo!! Can’t wait to see your upcoming material.
Greetings from Jersey.
Ah , you look much happier David , glad to see you back in Medellín.... I've been in Canada since mid December , freezing my b@lls off , returning to Medellín next weekend , my retirement visa nearly sorted out .... looking forward to being back in Colombia with my sweetie ...
Cheers !
And to think the Colombian government gave someone like Zach Morris Colombian citizenship and not this guy..
Tell me about it 🤦♂️
I concur. What a joke.
Always good vibes in your videos, but we can see you're back in your happy place...great to see! Been watching you since quarantine 2020 and so happy to see your channel continue to grow, all the best!
🙏
I don’t miss any place like I miss Medellin❤️
im glad to see you back in medellin :) hey bro can i meet you some day ?
David, I assure you that for that price you can get a much more flattering and less cramped 1-bedroom apartment in Medellin than this one. It's one thing for you to like a certain manageable level of noise and chaos, it's another thing for this place to have no independence whatsoever. I would not invite some friends to visit me, because they would feel uncomfortable. I know your problem is the budget, but I assure you David, you will quickly get bored there. Search a little more, housing is the most important thing for a Colombian. You must spend time searching for an apartment. Colombians usually visit at least 20 offers before deciding on one. In Cali you can get an apartment with 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a balcony for US$350. I am sure that in Medellin the same.
YOU RIGHT....BUT SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE HOW HOT🌡🌡🌕☀️🌞 CALI IS...ALMOST LIKE CARTAGENA Y SANTA MARTHA....
Yes this is true. But usually unfurnished and no services, plus through an agency that requires many things and is not month per month. This exact apartment actually cost $170 if it was unfurnished without services and internet. But I don't have the luxury to rent long term, since I may have to leave again, and don't want to buy furniture and get a long term contract for internet.
@@LifewithDavid David, you are right, as long as you are a digital nomad. However, sooner rather than later you will want to settle down and start a family, possibly with Letty. In that case, they could travel together and always return to the base station, I mean a home, in Medellín, as long as your UA-cam channel is alive. But when the trips are over, perhaps you could still use your audience to promote your profession and your work, already as a stable individual, and still produce entertainment content. For example, you can become a real estate agent and tour guide in Colombia for foreign citizens, who repeatedly write to you showing an obvious interest in moving to this country. You would do very well because you are the kind of person who can be trusted.
@@nathalienorie4887 Nathalie, during the course of the year, the temperature generally ranges from 19°C (66°F) to 29°C (84°F), rarely going below 18°C (64°F) or rising above 32°C (89°F). It's actually not as hot as Cartagena or Santa Marta. In addition, the nights are cool and pleasant because the breezes that come from the Pacific Ocean appear.
@@paxtecum4814 HOLA PAX,ARE YOU LIVING IN CALI?I WAS BORN THERE,USED TO LIVE IN THE BARRIO "SAN FERNANDO"MY FAMILY "EN EL VALLE DEL LILI",NOW AFTER SO MANY YEARS IN USA I'M GOING BACK HOME,BUT CARTAGENA O SANTA MARTA,I NEED TO BE CLOSE TO THE SEA...🏝🏖🌊,TOO HOT YES🌝🌝🌡SOME PEOPLE PREFER MEDELLIN BECAUSE THE MILD WEATHER,IS NICE BUT IS NOT SEA...🏝.
Very good bargain and cool pad!! Glad your back in Medellin, where it feels just like home for you. Looking forward to going back to Medellin this summer. Cheers from Nairobi, Kenya. 👍
Glad your back Daved, I'll be there soon, going for 6 months this time. Yea baby..
So prices went up taking the taxi to medellin.. it was 80,000.000
22,000 Colombian Pesos = US $5.55
Dave That’s Great & Good DeaL … Besafe
The first time I saw one of those shower heads was in San Felipe, Baja Mexico and it shocked me super bad. Being wet, naked and electrocuted is not my idea of fun...
Welcome back!
Sweet if Argentina and Paraguay don't work out Medellin will be my new home👍
I just saw you on Alina McLeod's channel. Cool. Seems odd they go to the expense of installing a bidet but continue to risk getting an electric shock in the shower.
Really fun to hang out with Alina
@@LifewithDavid yes she seems nice. Just unplug those showers and have colder showers.
welcome back.
Yeah I had an apartment with a Sui**de shower and I was nervous as heck! Lol
Welcome back!!!! I love living in colombia.. great apt!!
Dude, totally serious.. Bidet (bee DAY) is the shizz.... I got one about five years ago. I'll never go back.
Electric shower heaters work great
David is there a tunnel from Rio Negro to Medellin? There was talk about building a tunnel from Rio Negro to Medellin the last time I was there 5yrs ago.
There is a very nice 8.2km (5mi) tunnel from Rio Negro to Medellin that reminds me of highway tunnels in Italy. It is called túnel del Oriente and costs around 12500 pesos (~$3.20) to use and significantly cuts down the drive time between Medellin and MDE. I have a video driving through it that takes ~9min.
So glad to see that you made it back to Medellin. I will be visiting Medellin in Match for the first time and I am very excited
😎👍🥳 That was funny on the toilet. It is a bum gun in India to clean the cuatro letras so as to avoid using toilet paper. I was in India. David you should see the toilets in India. It's just a hole in the floor unless you get a western toilet.
I've seen a toilet like that in Spain when I was young, blew my mind at the time lol
Bidet..."Bid day"
My last apartment in the DR had a suicide shower. It was not properly grounded and shocked you everytime you turned it on or off so you had to be careful. Never was fatal though... hahaha... great for waking up in the morning.
I am so happy you are back home, the studio looks nice it is a shame it doesn't have balcony/windows, but I guess it is ok for you because you are a pateperro.
The value is so good in Columbia. And don't feel bad about overspending in Panama. It's so easy! You have to be so stingy in Panama and that just isn't fun. And I don't believe that you are anymore safe in Panama. I think that is a lie. It's the exact same danger as Columbia. People get jacked all the time in Panama.
IS COLOMBIA ....NO COLUMBIA.....🤔🤔😎.
@@nathalienorie4887 Ah thank you. Classic mistake from buying their apparel for many years.
Both places can be dangerous I lived in Panama City and David, Panama. David is a much smaller town so it was just a matter of time before someone broke into my house. Much easier to blend in and be ignored in Panama City.
The problem with Colombia is it really is dangerous after 8PM EVERYWHERE.
Panamanians and Colombians like to act gangster. But everyone is gangster until they come to Mexico. “Amigo we are both Latinos, please don’t kill me”. Wrong!!! The Mexican just shot you brotha
@@nathalienorie4887 it's english keyboard autocorrect
PS: David, your demeanor seems happier than in other videos from outside Colombia. Watch Zach Morris's videos from his new home in Argentina and you see what I mean. I guess the Land of the Realismo Majico got to you all....wish I were there....hopefully soon....
I am very glad you back I miss you You're videos in Columbia medellin
I miss medellin my self i am going in March
IS COLOMBIA.....NO COLUMBIA 🤔🤔 FOR MY NORTH AMERICA "AMIGUITOS"🙃🙃😉.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION the keyboard autocorrect (in the us phones and pc keyboards) keeps going back to Columbia when you write colombia every time you finish writing a sentence, is the autocorrect error not ours...me I'm not going to waste my time going back and change just one letteR.
Good to see you back in the city brother. Hopefully when I return we can meet up.
I would never live in an apartment without windows. Too depressive for me.
David, my in-laws in Cali purchased a shower head similar to what you have shown. No one in the family used except me. They would turn it off and I would turn it on. one day the lever to turn on the shower head had broken without my knowledge. I went to turn on and got a mild jolt. When I finished my shower, I had told everyone that the shower head was dangerous. They said it has a guarantee and took it back and got a replacement. I thought everyone would be concerned, but to my surprise, it was just another day!
Welcome back David. Hope you can get your Visa👍👍👍
We will see, hope so too
Glad you made it back safe. Rest and continue filming videos.
😲 Oh Lord ... Never seen a electric plug socket in the shower ... IS THAT NORMAL DAVID❓
Very normal in Latin America
Hay David Glad your back medellin. I just left two weeks ago, I'll be back next Month in March with the guys for our yearly get together. I been going to Med for a year now, about every 3 months. Looking at staying longer for a month or two and need advice on my best options. Hopefully we can meet up In March if you got time to pick your brain.
I give zoom consults. Check out info in the description
I was i Medellin for the first time the first week of January. Wanted to look you up but you were in Panama. Could I suggest a visit to Rionegro. I visited there and loved it so much I bought an apartment.
Just curious on your apartment purchase. I'm thinking about buying in Rio Negro from Constructora Bolivar
@@georgegil6587 We bought in the San Antonio area at San Cayetano.
A husband and a wife sharing a closet that's small seems like such a close relationship is sounds beautiful talk about minimalist
Sure, in theory :P
Lol so cynical
Great video man and happy to see you back in Medellin!!! Hey did you have to fill in the Megcheck form of the Colombian imigration? I heard many people forget to fill in it and they lose their flight.
so happy for you David
Yo David what’s your contacts info I’m headed by from Cartagena.
The bidet makes sense considering you can't flush your toilet paper.
Know you are happy to be back home. Love your apt. it perfect. congratulations. keep the videos coming.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Welcome back 😎
Welcome back David, I will be back in September
That's a super classic Colombian apartestudio you got there!
It is called Bidet, btw, not boudet :-)
It cleans yo booday!
Heading to colombia 🇨🇴 Monday to bogota for a week. Thinking about traveling to bus or plane to Medellin February 14 .
The bus is only worth it if you want the experience and go during the day time to see the views. But after the first time, I would recommend flying. It is usually the same price and takes about an hour.
Thank you so much David. I appreciate it
Hey man you just walked a block away from my house at Envigado when you had the sugar cane juice with this girl Alina McLeod
hi dave. if you go back to panama sometime in the future, try to visit Volcan. North of David and north of Conception.. We all like what your doing. I will visit you when i get there.
Great deal on the apartment. I'm looking for one in El Poblado. $500 per month or under.
Noise can be an added security of privacy which is good. Those book cases and shelvings are awesome. Question: Is the painting of New York Times Square? Looks like it.
Hey man, i’m coming to Colombia this year in October. I am a retired army veteran and I have a pension of around $3300 a month. How well what I do in your country? I am kind of nervous about making the move. Would love a video or response
I could not get anything for this price
Welcome Home! Home sweet home.
Bum gun in Medellín? It took me about two months to get used to toilet paper again. So jealous! Also, we Texas boys should grab some lunch when you are back in the valley.
So where or how do you get Colombia money from American money ?? At a bank or atm??
I got shock by one of those showers in Peru in a hostel. I was heading to machu pichu and stayed in "aguas calientes" for the night... the hostel made it a big deal about "hot water". When i turn it one, all was fine until i went into the water - I almost got fried. Thankfully it was me and not my dad. at the time i was healthy in my late 20's. My had has a pacemaker. It probably would have killed him.
Welcome back to Colombia 👍🇨🇴
Meta Jean ? Hey…. Nobody cares
Man I hated those showers. Mine always broke and went cold and even when it worked it was scolding hot.
David, it's not boudet. It's Bidet. Sounds cool though....from now on I'll say Boudet...lol
Welcome back David, looking forward for more Medellin videos
When I first used one of those shower heaters I was freaking out, I used it for weeks but I would never go back to using it again. Great content
Looks like a great price for such a nice apartment.
But I wonder how far it is from the metro station? I noticed that apartments with good transport links in. Medellin cost a lot more.
SORRY TO SAY BUT FOR WHAT YOU PAID 1 MILLION 4OO PESOS LOOK HORRIBLE THAT STUDIO, EVEN NO THERE ANY WINDOW AND ITS SO SMALL THE ROOM ITS CLAUSTROPHOBIC !!
So disabled veterans who want to retire in Colombia will be denied their retirement visa? New regs..
Good luck with your new life , $350 is pretty good! take care of yourself. peace from Macau.
that is the updated version of a vide...i laughed so hard
In Thailand, it is rare to find toilets with toilet paper outside of hotels/condos/your private residences. Most have the hose to clean yourself. It seems more hygienic than paper.
Nice place! Does it have AC?
Glad you’re back
Great video David... welcome home.
Thanks for the apartment tour, but not sure I could handle not having any windows to look out. What's with that?
hell ya brother
you can get the discount if it is for a month or more through airbnb ?
I've considered approaching airbnb hosts about renting off-airbnb, but being with the platform provides some important protections and for me that's worth the service charge.
This is very true. Always safer to rent on the platform.
I feel you. It really depends on the report you have with the host. When i was on Medellín, I rented an apt for a month on Airbnb. I met with the owner/host a few times and asked him about renting off the platform. He agreed, and i ended up saving more than 250 bucks/month. It's worth it if you can swing it, but there is definitely a risk to it.
I wouldn't recommend going off platform. Mainly because AirBnB likely has monitoring mechanisms in your inbox to identify where hosts and potential customers go off platform; which could very likely result in both of you being banned from AirBnB permanently.
@@jambon6451 found the shill. Lol. I did it with no problems. Great guy. Superhost
Looks like a bargain and you seem really happy to be back!
That’s awesome !!
😀😅😅 you in my old apartment exact same one!!
Really?? Nice!
Yes I was there for Christmas, had a tree and everything! Lots of construction was happening at the time which is why I moved !
We gotta link up David, you busy tomorrow?
Thank David
Ohhh
I don't know about Colombia being less materialistic than America I mean I'm sure you're right but a lot of the Colombian girls on IG flaunt their Louis Vuitton and all that a lot
I would say that they are less hoarders and collectors of things.
Can you give us any updates on the vaccine/ passport situation?
I believe it is still the same as my last video on the topic
This man really called it a bootay. Happy for you David!
Lol
Ive had a shock but I’m 6ft 4” and I was reaching up to wash hair and touched the wire
