About Lost in Space: The Robinson family was supposed to set off on a five-year mission to explore a distant planet, but an act of sabotage by the scheming Dr. Zachary Smith -- who managed to get himself trapped aboard the spaceship -- leaves them adrift in space for three years. The Robinsons, pilot Don West, Dr. Smith and their trusty robot move from planet to planet, always searching for a way to return to Earth.

Love this episode. The flight Will and Smith take is a gem. I wish they could have showed more of Earth spotting the ship and assuming them to be hostile aliens. But it’s a classic Smith and Will misadventure tale with a super guest appearance by the wonderful Al Lewis. ❤

Irwin Allen sure stayed within a reasonable budget using certain equipment from his other Sci-Fi shows instead buying too many props. That ship that Will and Dr. Smith returned in is quicker than the J-2.

Thats a pretty fast little round capsule. Equipt with rockets. Love how doctor Smith is looking for a wallet and forgot his name. Young William is a pretty good pilot and controller of the craft. That was a hell of a shot from one end of the galaxy to the other where Earth happens to be. Strange the Jupiter 2 hasn't got the power to do the same trip!😄😄😄👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
