He was talking while we were traveling, the usual for story missions, and he literally flew up directly vertical, got some insane air, and smashed into the ground. Was hilarious. He stopped blabbering for a second. I think it was in Lemoyne lmao. Cant remember what his horse tripped off of either.

The people and places aren’t real, but the ideas and situations are based on something that really happened. For instance, the town of Rhodes is based on numerous rural towns of the Deep South during the American Civil War. The Grey’s and the Braithwaite’s share much in the common with the ideals of the North and South sides of that conflict (although the Grey’s are hypocritical and only mercenary and will fight for a righteous cause as long as they can profit from the spoils. As for the Braithwaite’s, they’re getting their just desserts for being slave owners). There are a lot of mythological Easter eggs in the game as well, but they are there to represent some of the peculiar ideas and beliefs that some people had back in those days. Stories of vampires, giants, aliens, ghosts, demonic rituals, for example. All completely untrue, but nevertheless people live and die by their unshakeable belief in these tall tales. They did back then, and some of them still do today.
Fun fact: you can actually kill Micah in the bad ending with arthur using the knife if you are precise with the dodge and counterattacks. You can loot Micah and move around but the mission will be frozen

I get it rockstar couldn't let us continue after this, but maybe they could've gave Arthur some sort of special line before failed screen pops out or write on it something funny like: "FAILED (we are so sorry)". Like it's obvious that a lot of people would replay this mission in attempt to kill Micah, least they could do give us some sort of pat on the shoulder for trying.
Still surprised they didn't just let the player kill Micah, seeing as Arthur dies of TBC regardless. I guess they REALLY wanted it to be John who does that.
Sucks that even if you kill him in either ending, Rockstar pulls a classic move and punishes the player for being creative and actually beating the villain. What an awesome secret it would be to have an alternate ending and let us play as Arthur instead of John.
Arthur likely would have died of sickness anyways (just not as quickly), its not a case of rockstar wanting to punish the player for doing this its rockstar wanting to funnel players into the ending they already had planned for Arthur and John
It should of been a secret ending for Arthur, have it where he reunites with John again and get him to his family. They go out west together which lets arthur live longer but will die from his TB. I think it should be a secret ending for high honour only.

I was robbing a stage coach with Micah and Bill and Micah took forever to get onto his horse, so I was just trampling him with my horse and fail the mission. I did it like 10 times in a row and was dying laughing.
Once when I was playing the mission when Dutch, Micah and you escape Annesburg one of the enemies managed to headshot and kill Micah. I Failed the mission but was like "oohh nooo...sooo sad....they killed micah....so, we keep going, right?"
It's almost like Micah killing Arthur is important to the story or something. Ever notice how video games are the only media where every protagonist is invincible? That's why video game stories are trash 9 times out of 10.

In the final mission as you're running on horseback, you can turn around and fight the gang but they're all bullet proof and if they touch you it fails the mission. I tried so hard to find a way to kill Micah.
Thanks for trying it out. I haven't seen any videos on what happens if you do turn around and fight. I wanted to try it out myself but I always forget about it when that part of the mission comes up.

False. Arthur's death is exactly what gives the story the level of emotional depth not found in other video games. Grow up and read a book sometime. Rdr2's story wasn't even particularly great or original. The bar is just incredibly low for good writing in video games. Especially for writing characters with depth that you have a reason to actually care about. That's where rdr2 really excelled. Except Sadie. She was the most poorly written. Just a one dimensional killing machine with an endless bloodlust. Even after Arthur told her revenge is foolish. She's just that badass. She don't need no TB infested cowboy to mansplain forgiveness to her. Sadie's out for blood.
