Is she adjusting the kick pitch on the fly? Or releasing pre arranged sequencin? Or...? - sounds ace either way.
I am using a technique with gates that Ian Chang has made an insightful interview with sunhouse on their blog, to make sure the tonal information is coming in the right places. Everything but the bass is though sometimes randomized or assigned to velocity to change its behavior or controlled by MIDI parameters from Ableton (like the bass switching from the snare surface to the kick) so every time I play the tune, it turns out a bit different and I can decide on the arrangement on the fly using MIDI. I hope I can get to make a rundown of this setup soon.

I know you attach the little silver pickup to the drumhead, but what do you do when the drumhead breaks? Can you remove/reattach the silver piece? Do you guys sell the silver pieces separately or would we have to buy a whole new thing?
The system comes with a bunch of extra pick up/sensory patches! So if a head breaks you just grab another one from the stash they give you and put it on the new head. No need to buy any extras.
