You can make this in any combination of quilt cotton, cork, faux leather, vinyl, etc. The pattern is for beginners and sewing through cork is very easy. I would try cork first if you’re a beginner.

I am sewing the liner to the main body and have broken two needles because of thickness. What is the secret? how do you sew the liner to the main body without breaking needles??
Hi there... Can anyone help me wth the measurements of this bag... I purchased the pattern but the measurements printef on yhe pattern pieces is not exact measurements?
I don't understand the need to cut down the front pocket by an inch on both sides. Most bag makers just sew the edges of the pocket in to the seam. By cutting the pocket an inch on both sides, you now have lost approx 2 inches of pocket space. Just an observation. Love the bag!
You’re right in that observation. That’s how I did it in my first version, ie, sewing the sides into the side seam. But some testers felt that the lining didn’t stay flat when the bag was turn out because of the front pocket lining. It somehow bulked out and made the interior look puffier. So the decision was made to leave it out in the side seams so that the front pocket doesn’t wrap around the sides. Hope this helps!
I’m going to try not cutting down the sides as everytime I make this, I have holes in the front zipper pocket that would allow people to drop skinny items like chapstick or Bobby pins down into the part of the bag they can’t access. Everything else about this pattern is perfect!
Make the lining a smidge more narrow to remove the resulting bulge in lining when turned to inside. Turn bag through hole in lining and sew hole shut after turning. H

It should be approximately 6” (15cm) wide. 4-1/2” was a typo. 😅

Yes it would. Just keep your magnet size 1.5cm and nothing larger.

Try lining with waterproof canvas for more structure.
Woven IF helps to prevent the dimpling appearance that fusible fleece can cause sometimes.
