Wow! What a really great project! This is the first such “crafty” video where they show the importance of PRESSING as you sew. It makes such a superior end-product! I like how well-designed this little pouch/bag is.

So cute one thing I would change for myself would be to make the closure strap longer so it also holds the pocket closed so nothing slips out of it if it were dropped or dumped upside down or something.im ready to make one now. Thank you for sharing

Two ways I would make mine differently:
1. I prefer magnetic button for flap.
2. Make the flap longer to cover the pocket below zipper.

Oooh - I love the idea of extending the flap!
And put some interfacing in the strap so it isn't so flimsy and use a purse zipper and make the flap wider.
Is their a print out that we can get with fabric. Measurements and instructions? It is had to watch and write at the same time nice project
Or instead of making a longer flap put the zipper where the pocket is and the open pocket above the zipper.
i was just thinking exactly that... i would extend the flap too...{that cos you put the card in there...}
also would have used a white or grey velcro... lovely though...

This is a great tutorial! It would really help if you could list all the material and sizes at the beginning of the video so beginners like me could have it all ready before we start sewing. X
I am the same way, I found it easier to watch it the first time, write down the measurements and then watch the video while sewing. I have done this with several other videos.

And don't let the metric measurements bother you if you aren't familiar with them. Most tape measures and rules have those numbers as well!
Both measurements are listed. Makes it easier.

This is an excellent lesson to make a cellphone pouch. Everything is perfect and you are a good sewer. The lines are so straight and clean. Very easy to make...but we need the instructions written down for us to follow...list it all including measurements right at the beginning of the video. Thank you!
I agree. 10 seconds of an instruction page would be sufficient to make a screen shot to print out
Agreed!! Some parts are so fast I had to keep rewinding to figure it out. I’m also unclear whether she used fusible interfacing or fusible fleece.
