    Could you possibly do a video talking about how these machines handle in wet conditions?

      Jack Thompson I can tell you from experience that the track machine floats across wet stuff. The wheel machines will fall through and spin out.

    What about compaction? I get that tracks are distributing the weight a lot more but how big of a difference does it make when your track machine weighs 13,000 lbs more?

    I dont really agree with you we run 9620Rxs and 9620R and on the 60 ft field cultivator and the 620R kicks the 620RX bud all day long do about 1.8 mph more with the R then the RX

    FINNALLY, someone giving real information. I really hate when You Tube farm channels get a new tractor and they don't talk about the reasoning behind it, all we hear is irrelevant details like "my new tractor has a heated seat and a refrigerator.

    I know you where imagining that wheeled tractor being a 9570r but if that tractor really was it would compare better to the track tractor! Honestly the only time I've heard Farmers around here saying that tracks were better was in wet conditions. It's not all about weight and rubber on the ground all the time. It's also about pressure per square if it's good running conditions.9r 640 or whatever it might be is going to pull very well! The farmers around here have said that their wheeled tractors pull better then their track tractors in good conditions. Now when it's wet out, that's not the case! With track tractors, roading is also hard on the track system and it seems to wear the hell out of the tracks! Honestly, I think if you're not in wetlands there's no reason to spend the extra money on tracks!

    *So instead of a "Doug Score", (Doug DEMURO UA-cam channel) we get the "Chase score", great scoring system!*

    To make a fair comparison, you have to compare apples to apples. Have everything the same except for tracks and tires. Cost is a big reason to go with tires. The best tires to use, are the large Titan LSW tires. Tracks are more expensive to buy at initial purchase than LSW tires. When it comes time to repair/replace tracks, it is very costly. When you sell or trade your tracked combine or tractor, you will lose money, because not a lot of people want them or can afford them. Also, you can travel faster down the road and in the field, because LSW tires are a smoother ride than tracks or regular tires. (Less road loping and power hop.) Faster times running on the road and in the fields, means more time getting work done. Like they say,....."Time is money". Another big cost for tracks, is higher fuel consumption. It takes more engine power to rotate tracks, than it does tires. As far as slippage and compaction,.....there may not be a big difference between tracks and LSW tires. I think the LSW tires would have a slight advantage in wet/muddy conditions. There are many UA-cam videos and testimonials on the Titan LSW tires.

    Hey, before you sell all your old tractors, you and Millennial Farmer should have a tug a war. He's got that real sweet old Moline.

    What is your opinion on the e18 PowerShift. Is it really that bad and has super Slow acceleration?

    How does the RX stack against the RT as far as price, floatation, and traction?

    • @goldingerfarms9357
      @goldingerfarms9357  3 роки тому +1

      Any RX is going to be more expensive but it’s just better all around and is easier on the eyes than any RT

    I guess soil compaction isn't a concern when you're using them for tilling, but I think the 8RX line is great for pulling grain carts for that very reason. Being no till, compaction is a constant headache. Maybe it's the IlinoiSSSSSSSSSSS soil I have. I mean how good could the dirt be in a state where 4 out of 5 of the last governors we had have been to prison. We're still better than Wiscon and Mini-Soda. lol

    • @goldingerfarms9357
      @goldingerfarms9357  3 роки тому

      I’d rather pull a grain cart with an articulated tractor. More control and more traction. Sure an 8370r and 9370r May have the same rated horsepower but they aren’t going to pull the same. Also sitting up so much higher lets you see into the truck when dumping

    • @LtColDaddy71
      @LtColDaddy71 3 роки тому

      @@goldingerfarms9357 No doubt the bigger the machine the nicer it is to work with. I have an older 8370 2 track now, and it's not very good. But I was able to work with the big horsepower 4 track 8RX, it was a dream come true. I'd love to own one. Over 400 horse! I'd be looking at a few years down the road though after they start showing up on the used market. I'd probably end up buying the 370 horse though, depending on the difference in price and what I stumble across. 1st year without a great off farm income, so humble and cautious is the key.

    This review isnt very usefull, comparing a 58000lbs tractor to a 44000lbs tractor is apples to oranges. A fair comparison would be similar weighted tractors and running IF tires at the lowest recommended pressure. We own a quadtrac 580 and a 620 on 800 IF duals, in dry conditions the quadtrac would outpull the tires but in wet conditions the wheels pulls better than the quadtrac. Traction is definitely better with the right setup of tires.
