I like the women, I don't like the drama editing (like the "sounds dry" or the "look of disgust") I have both eyes and ears, I can judge by myself.

Yeah fr! Italian moms try ___ is so respectful and you can actually bear to watch it without constant put downs or vulgarity from the other contestants. These moms have respect. I’ve tried other related videos where contestants try something other people made and they’re rude and sometimes vulgar and generally just not very nice to one another but these moms are really sweet and nice and even sometimes want the recipe 😂
Edimara is ADORABLE! She is so kind, and generous with her praise. She seems like a lovely person! And she is gorgeous :-)

@@paulyou4629 I think it had to do with the temperature of the room when I made the mascarpone cream. I was cooking lasagna and ragù at the same time, so I had the stove and the oven on :/

Room temperature has a big impact on tiramisu though. Mine was about 400 degrees due to making it at the same time as lasagna and ragù :/ it’s usually not runny but creamy and smooth 🤷🏻♀️

I learned tiramisu by myself, my Italian flatmate loved it that much he started calling his Italian friends around the city to come and try. Don't think I've ever felt more proud while making food 😂

@@A.S0123ingredients - good quality espresso, eggs, sugar, mascarpone cheese, vanilla extract, lady finger biscuits, masala wine (optional), cocoa powder
firstly, brew some espresso, about a full mug of coffee's worth and let it cool down (has to be an espresso brew, i use a Bialetti Moka Pot)
in two bowls, separate 8 eggs, add some sugar (about 20-30 teaspoons, sounds alot but you are making a dessert) to the bowl of yolks and whisk until the sugar is dissolved and the yolks go pale and creamy, at this time whisk in about 200g of mascarpone cheese. Then whisk the bowl of egg whites until they are stiff peaks. Then gently fold the egg whites into the yolk/sugar/mascarpone mix with a little bit of vanilla extract . Take very good care not to beat the air out of the egg whites when folding them together, best advice I can give you is scoop a bit of egg white and fold each scoop in.
When your coffee is cooled, add a little touch of masala wine to it (totally optional). Then with your lady finger biscuits (aka savoiardi), dunk them extremely quickly into the coffee (and i mean really quickly) then place them into your dish. Make sure to put the sugar coated side facing upwards. Once you have a full layer of biscuits, pour a layer of your cream mixture on top, then another of your coffee lady fingers, then your final layer of cream.
Once all of this is done, cover the tiramisu with plastic wrap and put into the fridge to set, ideally over night, but 5-6 hours should do it.
When ready, cut yourself a slice and dust the top with a little cocoa powder and enjoy!
Additional advice regarding the Cocoa Powder, dont dust the tiramisu and put it in the fridge, as the cold will create a little humidity inside the fridge and will destroy the chocolate, always sprinkle when about to serve and don't put much on otherwise youll start coughing

@@cookliet8444 Martina’s was Watery, The Chocolate was Broken apart and the cream was separated and melting, that deserved nothing more than a 2 but Selene was generous, then Edimara’s was dry, there was almost no cream, and the chocolate had ground coffee which deserved nothing more than a 3.5 Selene won this fair and square and if your biased then so be it

I’m Italian and this is exactly how i do it too :)
Here’s the recipe;
Ingredients;
Savoiardi; 300 gr
Eggs;4
Mascarpone;500 gr
Sugar;100 gr
Coffee; 300 gr( this goes your taste tbh)
Powder Cocoa :as you wish to top the tiramisù at the end
2 glass bowls
A rectangular baking tray
Preparation:
Separate yolks and egg whites.
Set up with the whips the yolks and add 2/4 of the sugar and all the mascarpone.
Now you have your yolks cream.
Use another bowl, clean the whips and then starts to set up the egg whites.
You need to obtain foamy and cloudy egg whites,so,don’t go super fast with the whips,take your time or your cream will result too liquid.
Ok,now add the other 2/4 of the sugar slowly.
Now that your egg whites are ready,mix it one spoon at time with the yolks,mix it gently from the bottom to the top.
Ok,now prepare the coffee,take your savoiardi and start soak them.
Pour a layer of cream in the baking tray and then add the biscuits,pour another layer and add biscuits ecc
Until the baking tray is filled.
Now,sprinkle the cocoa powder on the top and it’s ready:)

@@hannibaljustincase9985 I'm not sure but I think Yumi means brew coffee and the amount should be 300ml because 1 gram equals 1ml. That would make more sense and you can dip your savoiardi/lady fingers in there.

Sometimes I forget that this is Buzzfeed where they exaggerate on EVERYTHING. If someone raises an eyebrow, you deadass know the editor is gona magnify it out of proportion. Calm down on the editing, it's 2021 not 2012.

i quite like this series! but tbh i liked the other 2 videos of the Italian mums more, the editorialising graphics on this video were really distracting.
This is a perfect example of knowing WHEN the right time to be creative with your desert (or dish) or when to still to the traditional method.
It seems like Edimara is also in the kitchen for fun, she's still working out her cooking style and she's still so young she can really take her time to find the balance that works for HER

I would absolutely love this even more if the winners shared their recipes. That Tiramisu looked so good I wanted to put my head through the screen to taste it.
Half a cup of coffee, 50 biscuits, 2 pints of cream, 10 bars of chocolate. Blend all together and pour onto a plate, then call Harry Potter to wave his wand.
