This is an extraordinary instrument. Clearly Mr Nicoletti has poured his entire professional knowledge and experience into creating such a wonder. In my own field as a piano tuner/technician, my entire working life - including when I work as a musician - my work revolves around achieving the best tone possible, and this includes voicing piano hammers to achieve a beautiful tone, and recommending suitable spaces to place the piano in question. But unlike a piano, with a guitar the tone is determined not only by the tonewoods used, but also by bracings, where the soundhole is placed, etc. Giuliano Nicoletti is a man after my own heart. Thank you Michael for demonstrating this amazing guitar with your sensitive and creative playing.
This could be the very best (so sweet and warm) sounding guitar you have ever featured on your channel. Love your great playing and promotion of such fine sounding instruments. I am so pleased that you also had the courage to recently include the Emerald carbon fiber guitars on your channel. Your recent postings featuring the Emerald X30 helped in my decision to purchase said guitar. I did get to play the X30 (prior to my purchase) by using their Ambassador program. Outstanding sounding guitar, with some interesting design elements. I like the neck design, am a fan of the 13th fret body joint, elevated fret-board, and heel-less/bolt on design. I wish the guitar had a cutaway, as that makes certain creative and compositional options more accessible and practical. I like that the body is not ridiculously deep. Nice video, great sounding instrument. 'She moves to through the Fayre' is such great piece to play so we can catch all the acoustic subtilities of the guitar (overtones, sustain, responsiveness etc...). It should be added on all your guitar /sound check /reviews for sure! Question : how does this ETS anti wolf note thingy works exactly? Is it just a cavity where you can add/switch different weight behind? While it might cancel out a particular wolf note, wouldn't it be potentially adding another elsewhere when changing the weight?
The effect of the tuned added mass on the bottom side is evident only at the main monopole, because it acts specifically on the second pole of that resonance (sides and back).
