I forced voltage directly to the battery using my bench power supply. If the battery drops below a certain voltage, it goes into safe mode so it doesn't allow it to be charged for safety reasons.
I forced voltage into the battery tricking the battery control module that it's not below an unsafe voltage. Hope that makes sense. When these batteries go below a certain voltage, the bcm stops the charging as it thinks the battery is faulty for safety reasons.

I didn't understand how you fixed the problem as such. Did you just remove the USB-C connector and put it back, or am I wrong.
