Bloody brill. Wish you had done this a few years ago lol. Save me loads now. Been using 6 every other day on two set ups. Tackle companies won,t like this vid as they now be losing money. Great stuff. Little tips like this help kids, reuse don,t throw away.
I just wrap the line around the wire 3 times and slide it back on, will try the knot and see if it's easier, great tip tho, saves us from wasting even more plastic/rubber
Used to do this when I used stops... But now use stop knots as I ALWAYS connect my floats as sliders, even if fishing 12"deep. These rubber stops tend to catch in the rod rings esp with a light (eg 1AAA) float and impede the cast... stop knots flow through freely... and as easy to lock the float between stop knots as it is with the rubber ones ie all the pros, no cons.
Excellent idea. How many times can you do this before the inside diameter of the little rubber stop gets reamed out to the point of either throwing it out maybe using them with larger diameter fishing line?
Simple and great idea! Sorry to say I have thousands of stops I got off the tinternet for a lot less than a couple of packets of branded so hardly worth the hassle and I am a real tight wad ;)
It's also not really about the money because you can buy hundreds online for a few pounds for me. it's more about it being environmentally sound practice ♻️ 🎣
That's a great tip. Unfortunately I have already pulled the stops off the line and they are rattling around in the bottom of my tackle box. Any chance of another video for idiots like me? Alternatively, buy them from one of the Chinese online retailers. They are MUCH cheaper, just without the fancy branded packaging.
I just buy 600 rubber stops from temu for £1.50, ill never buy small fishing tackle from shops again, I can buy 100s of rubber stops 100s of snap swivels and 100s hooks for £5 on temu , you can't even buy 20 snap swivels in the tackle shop for £5
Hope this helps and saves you some money. Every little helps 💰😊...please support the channel and leave a comment 👍

Great tip. Always wondered how to do it. The stop I use are Drennans, so I'll give it ago and see if it works, because of their shape.

That’s one way, I just thread them on to a sewing needle, put the line through the eye of the needle, and slide the on to the line that way.

Pulling them over a knot makes them loose next time
Not had a problem yet. Maybe there is a limit but no harm in reusing as much as possible 👍
I just buy 600 rubber stops from temu for £1.50, ill never buy small fishing tackle from shops again, I can buy 100s of rubber stops 100s of snap swivels and 100s hooks for £5 on temu , you can't even buy 20 snap swivels in the tackle shop for £5
