- This vid goes to the Jungle fighters from the Death world Catachan now for some facts.Catachan Jungle Fighters are among some of the deadliest experts of jungle warfare in the entire galaxy and their reputation precedes them. They make use of many close combat weapons, indeed forging a weapon is considered a manhood rite of passage by the people of Catachan. Such weapons include the 'Catachan Fang', measuring up to 20 inches of gleaming steel, which is the most common weapon. It is also used for settling disputes between Catachans. Another knife is the Night Reaper, which is smaller and blackened, effective in night infiltration and assassinations. They are sometimes poisoned to improve their kill strength, the poisons coming directly from Catachan. The Devil's Claw, named after the great predator on Catachan, is the longest weapon, up to four feet long. It is closer to a sword than a knife and has achieved a measure of respect among the Orks, who call it 'Da Cutta'. The blade is hollow and half filled with mercury in order to improve swing strength and control, and the design of this weapon has been copied by Catachan regimental officers for use as a power weapon. They also make extensive use of traps, mines and other unpleasant surprises. Due to the fact that Catachan Jungle Fighters are raised on a planet that is so inclement to human life, they are very self sufficient and therefore resent outsiders (such as Commissars) giving them orders and lack much of the military decorum of many other Imperial guard regiments. In fact stories are told of imperial commissars "accidentally" stumbling into booby traps after being assigned to Catachan regiments

awesome i love the catachan. they are my second favorite. Cadian is the 1st one. I made my own regiment, but even though it is cadian i had them be somewhat great in forest combat (inspiration from the far superior Catachan jungle warfare.)

Only a Catachan knows how to turn a tang-top into flak armour, and only the veterans among them know how to apply body oil and turn the flak armour into carapace armour. :P

But Marbo dosen't wear one because he sets himself apart from everyone and his life is singular, he forsakes all ties of comradship because he dosen't want to get attached to anything. Its why i think the story of him having nine brothers and them all dying is why he's so cold, he dosen't want to lose anyone else and has just sworn to keep fighting until he dies. Its also why he's useless and blank when he's not at war, he is war it is his purpose.
Camo (I just felt that they needed the camo to fit what i wanted, they have the jungle camouflage pattern), I also used the game Dawn of war to make their scheme, though Dawn of war is limited in customization. I'm just starting to make my own army though, after playing WH40k I just had to try to make my own as well.

I couldent really think of a really good song for these guys so i picked one from the Guy they were based off of
ahhh you should have done either "run through the jungle" or "fortunate son" by credence clearwater revival, both are vietnam era songs that would have fit perfectly...still good though
How long till a Catachan 'accidently pushes' a Commisar into a deadly trap once they get off a shuttle to boss em around?

Yea Death World is a really good book I have it aswell but as far as i know its the only book with Catachans in it but if i see any thing ill tell ya

yea your going to need the rule book the main rule book u can get it for like 50$ its pretty big so i cant remember every thing if u need to know the site from where to buy it ask

well from what i know and what ive read in books these are how they look no flak jackets or carapcace armor theyll get torn up in the jungle there heavy and make noise and also harder to camo so they where sleavless jackets and so forth as for the females i think theres 2 but im not shure
catachan doesnt show that the humans emporer is strong. it show that he is a greater infection upon the galaxy than the tyranids.

im planning, since these guys look so vietnammy, that im gonna make my catachans air calvary(lots of valks), and base them off of the 7th air cav, from we were soldiers. any comments?

i used to collect catachans ages ago, they were awesome, reminded me of the commando elite from small soldiers, theyre inbreds to according to the storyline though, hense wen u see alot of official drawings with em in (the black and white ones) they are hav similar faces and the same nose, i used to collect the old metal cadian to coz they reminded me of starship troopers, i dont like the new imperial guard toops, old imperial guard and catachans ftw! FOR HUMANITY!

It was really sad, I cried, your actually two codexs behind from it being out dated. I played with it up until this newest one was released this month, but people stopped agreeing to let me use it. Now I have to re-model my whole army.... retardely expensive.
I fielded them just fine right up until this new codex came out.
