Thanks Andy! I watch a few model channels but I always feel like your videos are made for regular people! Easy to follow, excellent presentation and explanations, and most importantly to me, not so long winded that the video gets boring ! I appreciate all you do and have missed watching your build and finishing tutorials! Keep it up and wishing you and your family health and happiness in 2022!
Hi Andy. I like how you let the viewer see what products you are using, so we know what to order from you. This is huge as I am getting back into the hobby. I am older now so the large scale kits are perfect for a older guy and these videos are really well done. Lots of new techniques to take modeling skills to another level. Thank you so much for sharing these with us.
Thank you, Andy, for this video! I've not only subscribed to your channel, but I am watching ALL your videos in numerical order - Up to 297, learning all I can about weathering as I plan on building a tank in the next few weeks as a gift to a neighbor and trying my hand at this. So, this Video and this model, which I will get from your Online Store, will be a good start for me! Happy New Year!
Nice work weathering, showed me something different. You didn't cut out back guards for lights. I watch your site quite a lot, thanks. Keep up great work
Hi Andy, that is a fantastic build you have completed, ther weathering was just right for the scale, I would think that tbe paint ginish on the real vehicle would not havee perfect and would have been done in a hurry, as per usual anothet excellent video from a true master, take care and keep safe and well.
You consistently deliver the goods with your outstanding tutorial videos and this is one of your best. Thank you for posting. My wife and I will be traveling to Phoenix in March because I'm doing a photographic project on horse racing at Turf Paradise. I also plan on visiting your store. Are you usually at the store on weekdays?
Thanks Andy. You hinted that you might do something different with British North Africa armor (you are sending me the Border Crusader soon!). Any tips we should be aware of?
Hi Andy, I’m relatively new to this level and rediscovered the hobby in the pandemic when I couldn’t play golf! I love it! This is a great video as always and I copied it for this exact model…the spare tracks I’ve done look great! The tracks for the vehicle though I have a question? I’ve weathered them and they have gone brittle? Do you repeat the TS80 on the NATO black coat I put on the main tracks, before you add the chipping coat, streaking grime etc? Not sure where I’ve gone wrong!? 😮
looks good after weathering that! I've got there stug for next build after RfMs full interior stug I'm doing now! It's beautiful it's actually an early stug with same engine bay as the ausf B to F8 stugs miniarts has late engine bay and engine the difference is quite unbelievable actually there a totally different build inside! Miniarts is more a late than an early! I had to do alot of research into why RFMs was so different but my books came to the rescue with all the early interiors so RFMs is perfect
Hello handys il est pas mal ce panzer 3 mais sa manque de travail sur les peintures pour réaliser l'effet de vieillissement est de réalisme de la maquette
When you speak of enamel thinner, do you refer to mineral Turpentine? If it’s lacquer thinner, why doen’s it eat right through the paint? Does one layer of varnish protect the paint enough?
Hi Andy! Fantastic job! I certainly learned a few new things. I have a question for you (or anyone willing to answer) - Can I get similar results if I don't have an airbrush? Is this even possible to do without it or I shouldn't bother because painting everything with a hand brush is not worth it?
Thanks for another video Andy. I'm curious if you considered using the DAK colors by Tamiya XF92 or XF93 and if not why. I've also been seeing builders, like David Parker for example, giving DAK armor a scuffed sand blasted look more than chipping. At any rate, thanks again. I bought my Stug from you guys and am pumped to build it.
A lot vehicles where primed with red lead every body used it on both sides of ocean ships buildings everything rust inhabitant that why in North Africa the sand would blast the paint off and the vehicles would look pink.
25:47 I’ve constructed both the Das Werk 1/16 Panzer III and the STUG and each time had to do some delicate modifications to the tracks before mounting them on the tank armour… If you freeze the frame at 25:47 you can see that (because Das Werk didn’t supply a purpose moulded part) the mounted tracks have Track Rods without bolt heads at one end and Bolt Heads without a Track Rod at the other… I know it’s a small detail but in real life this would literally be impossible… great paint and weathering, not meaning to criticise… just sayin’ 😬
@@AndysHobbyHeadquarters True but its based on time of exposure and type of material . German tanks in service just didn't spent that long in desert to get rust as much as Russia or ETO moist accelerated process
Andy, I would like to purchase this kit and ALL of the paints, pigments, thinners... Can you put a discount package together if you purchase everything?
Wow, the editing was not up to your usual high standard. Too much video of your arm or hand. Also zooming in too far. Music and transitions off too. You must be rushing or super busy. However, the results were great on the model.

Looks awesome Andy

Your the best Andy. The layman model builders dream.
Andy, you are the Man. I love your videos, particularly painting and weathering. You make it seem so simple!!
Thank you David .
Großartig Andy, danke!
Showing the products used at the start is a great idea. Another beautiful tank👍
Very cool video Andy! Great info on weathering, for us inexperienced modellers! Thanks for sharing!
An other great video thx Andy and greetings from Belgium
cracking result. Cheers Stu

This is back to the roots. Like the builds from 4 years ago, that made me start modeling again. Thx
beautiful work Andy
Glad you enjoyed it
I greatly admire those with great skill but mostly patience! Wow!
Thanks for the wet on wet technique demonstration. That will come in handy on future builds.
Thanks Andy, love the detailed video showing your techniques. I’ve only built a couple tanks so I’m always learning and looking to improve.
very nice work as always Andy.
Cool, another GREAT vid Andy!! 👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it

That looks fantastic Andy! You make it look easy!
Das werk really great models 😎
And so are your channel 😀
Thank you so much 😀
I just used your Jagdpanzer Marder I video for my Tiger 1 last night, I missed this by 1 day!
Very nice ,the large scale works well with planner camouflage it brings out the details I think.

Thanks Andy. I'll be trying out a few of these techniques on the 1/16 armor I've been ordering from you. Keep up the good work. 👍
sieht sehr gut aus.
Amazing paint job! Your a true artist!
Thank you so much 😀
What a fantastic video, very helpful thanks for sharing Andy

Very nice!, Thanks for the video!.

Excellent work.
wahoo it looks so hard realistic while i watched this video i felt the desert sand between my teeth^^ fantastic job andy
Thanks Andy 👍🇳🇿
My Stug III I ordered from your shop will be delivered tomorrow. Fast shipping !! Looking forward to trying out these weathering techniques.

Great job. Very realistic
Great video ... can't wait for the kit to show up at my door... And yes I want to do mine in a North African scheme as well
Awesome!
Would have liked to see mission models used as their paints are superb!
Also look into Vantage Model Solutions wipes the floor with Ammo by Mig
Really useful Andy, thanks!
Looks fantastic! 🙂👍
It is beautiful! 😊👌
Thank you for this ONE!

Got to say tho, those 1/16th take the weathering well, looks more to scale.

Don't forget, not much rust, the only places with rust were the salt pans and right on the coast. Tunisia was a bit different the rains were major.
They should make panzer iii asuf n in 1/16 with the amour
Not bad - But one thought comes to mind. Where does all the rust come from? North Africa is a desert, very little rainfall.
Hello , I live in phoenix AZ and we have very little rain and things get very rusty. Thanks for watching
I'm surprised that the Enamel Thinner (Tamiya X-20?) wouldn't also remove the shipping paint
How you mix the xf 59 desert yellow to get that kind of yellow?
Hey Andy love it. I’ll definitely be ordering the Stug and this one from ya. Question tho, any word on a tiger 1 in this scale from them?
Hi Andy, video quality seems better. New equipment?
Hello handys il est pas mal ce panzer 3 mais sa manque de travail sur les peintures pour réaliser l'effet de vieillissement est de réalisme de la maquette
Hello. May I ask what type of airbrush are you using? Great job by the way. Thanks

Wery cool but why dont you use Tamiya's new afrika corps colours? Do you think their not accurate or maybe you did not have them in stock?

What primer color have you used?
Only question : Will armor get rust in dry desert climate ?
I live in Phoenix Arizona , a dry climate and plenty of things Rust here

О, длинноствольное Pz.III успели повоевать в Африке?
Were all the DAK Panzer III Ausf. J in Afrika the short barrel versions?.
Andy which is better in your opinion. This model or the 1/16 stug
👍 👍 👍 👍 👏👏👏👏👏👏💪💪💪
Andy, I would like to purchase this kit and ALL of the paints, pigments, thinners... Can you put a discount package together if you purchase everything?
Well now I have to go 1:16 scale , my eyes will thank me .
Not bad Andy for a mediocre modeler, lol. Just kidding, it looks fantastic! Model on Andy!!!
It needs a commanders seat in the turret
Hi
Talking a lot about water for desert weathering))) Seriously, love the video!
In russia it was the cold and the snow, in North Africa it was the heat and the sand....
Love you Andy..... but it's ODORLESS..... not oderless.😂
1st
Everything what you are doing looks so simple and straightforward. But it's not 😊
Wow, the editing was not up to your usual high standard. Too much video of your arm or hand. Also zooming in too far. Music and transitions off too. You must be rushing or super busy. However, the results were great on the model.
To be honest, i don't like this modern "everything has to be rusty" technique.
This is my first try at a 1:16 kit, and I can safely say it’s a piece of junk to build and nowhere near worth the £120+ asking price
