From the bottom it looks like a steep incline, from the top another downhill slope of mine, but I know the equilibrium’s there. That’s a great line too!
Glad to see this one back up and hopefully people will notice it's here, I had faith it would get unblocked ❤️ Yeah I love the bass on this, so funky and the lyrics are so good, one of the only times you can clearly see the meaning, like you said the contrast between the music and meaning of the song is typical Mike, like the music almost cancels out the lyrics and is very poignant when he says no one listens, anyway I hope I'm making sense lol Thank you and I'm glad you liked the song ❤️
So glad this was unblocked! One of my favourites, it's a shame the band don't view it very positively when playing live though. This was their pop song, should have been as big as Epic!
@@roxannemitchell4119 KDADDFAL is my favourite, that was my first FNM album & I still love it to this day! Yeah, everytime I've seen them they never seen too ecstatic about playing Epic, Mike just shouts his way through the verses.
@@steroberts Good choice, that album has some really good songs, Angel Dust is my favourite though. Yeah they must be super bored of playing those old song, I mean can you even imagine just having toplay a song because it was popular when you don't even like it lol
Love your perceptiveness with you lyric breakdowns. Last Cup Of Sorrow please. I was very young when I started listening to these guys in the late 80's and I a lot if it went over my head but I just loved them regardless. Watching your reactions gives me a renewed appreciation for music Ive loved for 30+ years, so thank you😊😊🤘
this was FNM version of a pop song and one of their more straightforward songs lyrically.. what you must know about mike patton lyrics is that he often just chooses words for their sound, rhythm and not so much the meaning..
What a f..reckle, am I the first one to see this?:))) Jees, I guess I did.:)) Roxxane, god bless ya, girl!:) FNM without a bassist - nothing, nada! :)) Hahah, just kidding.:) Yeap, there are very few bands with a slapping bass in the middle of "metallurgy operations"...:) FNM`s one of them. This song is an example of their early funky-rock-metal-pop-soul tracks.:) And the nasal Mike...:)) Not mike as a microphone but Mike as a user of it, young and hairy, hahah...Oh, happy birthday Mike, ya old sack...:D Joking, he`s still lovely.:) His friend, the comedian Eric Andre, with whom he spoke recently via podcast, introduced him as "a big, beautiful black princess"..I wanted to laugh my ass out and hug them both ...:)) Anyways, great reaction, glad you`ve enjoyed it, you`re good analysts of lyrics and sounds:)...As for poetry, despite the described insecurity and uncertainty, I think that the poetry subject radiates the aura of deep stability and inner understanding, and why and for what purpose? Only `cause he`s actually being able to reach and grasp all kinds of diverse world phenomena, even though he`s bombed and stroked by it in some sort of a way, in a mystical sense which a pure, broad and untouched soul possesses. Like trying to find a direct phone line to God himself - who is present all around us.:) (God is that Wind from a first verse; And the extremes - mountains and abysses- are God's properties - but "the picture`s there" - God`s there :)) An unique divine`n`emotional path.:) And this is the charming message of it. "In other news...":) Hey, I`m a pretty good bass picker myself, do you play drums?:) Wanna jam a little? :) Nice...BTW, the video version of this song was cut off a bit in the end, there`s a fade out where the original didn`t have it, but hey,..MTV music videos and the TV industry rules...:/ Looking forward for the next video, best wishes! :)))
The video got blocked for a few days, stupid really because this is promotion for band, I don't know why record companies don't see it that way, anyway thank you for all your positive energy and kind words ❤️
Bassist Billy Gould is definitely one of rock n roll's most underrated players out there.
Yes 100% he is a monster
Him and Rex Brown. 2 of the best
You know him when you hear him
Absolutely it's a crime
Droplets of yes and no in a ocean of Maybes" that's a great line in this song.
From the bottom it looks like a steep incline, from the top another downhill slope of mine, but I know the equilibrium’s there. That’s a great line too!
And to think this came out in 1989! Amazing how well this album holds up to this day!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I saw them in a small club in Indy on this tour. 1st- Soundgarden (Louder Than Love), 2nd- FNM, and headliner- Voivod (Nothingface).
This song is probably my favorite Faith No More song & it hardly gets any love. Thank you for the reaction
Best part of your reactions is your understanding of music and production
Faith No More rule! Great to hear Roxanne is doing well 👍
Glad to see this one back up and hopefully people will notice it's here, I had faith it would get unblocked ❤️

@@steroberts Yeah me too, I take it you prefer The Real Thing over Angel Dust? they are the same with Epic though, they don't like playing that either

billy gould is the man! now check Woodpecker from Mars!
Love this song❤
One of their catchier songs, love your FNM reactions ✌❤💫
I've read a theory that song is about Mike trying to decide between Mr Bungle and Faith No More. Happily he didn't have to choose.
That's what i always thought it was about, I think he really struggled with it, and like you said thank goodness he didn't have to make a choice
Fire song!
You're almost ready for the Bass in "The Morning After". Best to work up to it.
This was one of the first faith no more songs i heard.
Check out 'From out of Nowhere' and Edge of the World from this record. He can sing anything.
The morning After.
I noticed you really like the bass on this track. It's also a safe bet that you will like the bass on...
PRIMUS - SHAKE HANDS WITH BEEF
One of their more upbeat tracks, definitely. The lyrics are mostly doom and gloom, as usual, but at least the music is uplifting. To a point.
there's a story behind the fish in this video, you should look it up. Also, you said "epic"....
As for lyrics? Check out Alone by Suicidal Tendencies. Very few songs examine the darker side of a psyche as this piece.
Almost too cool to be from the 80’s but I’ve always loved this song

what you must know about mike patton lyrics is that he often just chooses words for their sound, rhythm and not so much the meaning..
Check out more tracks from their later stuff especially the album Angel Dust - it sounds much less 80s and more distinct.
Patton-ique", he does all the hard stuff way too easy heha.
Favorite song* oops

Anytime, Roxanne....:)
@@boyhrn Yeah tell me about it, if this song wasn't blocked it would have 3 times the views
Please listen to radio 1 faith no more super hero live you will be very impressed.
This is the single version with the strange multiple voices in the chorus. The album version is much better.
