Whoa! Slow down, tiger! He’s a great singer… that plays some guitar. But he’s not great by any stretch. You won’t find him even on the longest list of rock legend guitar players. he’s not known for his guitar playing, and I’m sure he would be the first one to say that. He’s a great singer. 😝🤘🏻🇺🇸🎸 I’ve been a huge fan of Sammy since the early 80s, and still. I’ve never even heard this before, and his cool seeing him playing so long ago. Pr sounds terrible, and that guitar tone?
Sitting in a car during lunch hour back in HS 1978, smoking Thai Stick and drinking a Lowenbrah. Got this cranked up on a Pioneer Super Tuner, Kenwood Amp, Jensen Triaxial Speakers. Beautiful feathered hair girls, with their tight asses packed into a pair of Dittos, lips glistening from cherry flavored lip gloss, what a time for a 16yr old West Coast boy to be breathing air and have the sun shining on his face!

This for me is Sammy Hagar at his best, every time i hear this live version i get goose bumps.
Up there with my all time favourite rock tracks. ✌
Stupendous guitar playing. The feedback. Oh my days.
Dammit if i could just get this outta my head…i cant it rocks my core!
One of my favourite hagar songs incredible
Nevermind all the Van Halen drama. This guy has to be one of the most under appreciated rock musicians ever. What a find this is.
Sammy does a great cover here. One of my favorite Hagar tunes.
Same here
His guitar playing is very under rated his leads in this song sound like Stevie Winwood on guitar. Very good
The best 10 minutes of my morning for sure!
Brilliant, I was listening to that last night off the Sammy Hagar - The Very Best (Red Alert! Dial Nine) album.
Sammy is a national monument
The most sublime feedback I have ever heard and that includes Bill Nelson's Adventures in a Yorkshire Landscape live. That says something!
great, great song
Most underated CEO OF ROCK ROLL..STILL ROCKING..LONG LIVE TO SAMMY HAGAR AND ALL THE MATES THAT KEEP GOIN
Great cover of the great Donovan! Thanks a lot for uploading it
Stupendous guitar playing.
Sammy Hagar is a great guitarist second to none including Eddie . Hagar is a bad ass musician

People forget after standing next to Eddie all those years, Sammy is a great guitarist as well.

Great live performance of this song.
Fab version of Donovan song. Hail to one of the happiest guys alive! Saw Sammy @ Edinburgh Playhouse early 80s He is an icon.
What a awesome musician I love the way he does this I've seen him in concert 4 times here in Albuquerque just plain bad ass
First heard this in 1981 on Tommy Vance... sublime.
Me too. The Friday Night Rock Show. Never missed it....
I always judged the talent of metal bands, by their ballads.
This is the ...only Sammy Hagar song I ever liked
Thanks for uploading this gem again! I was wondering why it wasn’t in my playlist anymore.
Awsome find
My mate Hair Bear did a tape for me. I remember this and Blackfoot's Highway Song. Never heard them before. I think this is sensational.
RED,,,,, BABY!!!!
it would have been nice if the dumb camera guy would have focused more on Sammy's finger noodling on the guitar when he was rippin it up!
Fuck ya. The Red Rocker
Sammy is awesome…but a blues player he ain’t. Stick to what you do best and leave the rest to the people that live that life. Blues is NOT your thing.
Woww Sammy playing the Blues. I prefer his guitar playing over Eddie's. He's definitely influenced by blues.
...and I wonder my Montrose was so good
Killer
😴🤢🤧
