It’s good to know that I’m not the only one. Watching this, I can relate to every experience and comment. Thank you for making this video. It somehow feels less isolating.
yes but Asians are usually refered to as East or South East Asian. I think the term Asian is such a useless broad term. I dnt think it's capable of actually establishing any commonality between Asian populations that aren't closely geographically clustered. The difference between a Jew and an East Asian is so drastically larger than their similarities from genetics to culture that I don't think anything significant can come from talks that try to understand and resolve the "Asian struggle" in societies, especially in the West
This is really good. It is not exactly what I thought it was going to be, but still really good. Great. Living in the US it is understandable , but not, that people have the view that Ashkenazi Jews are the only Jews. I am a mixture of Asian and European. I am medium brown. I am Jewish on both sides. Growing up in California in the 70's and 80's no one ever questioned my Jewishness. Especially when they saw my mother or anyone from her side of the family. They are mostly European, Ashkenazi, and some Asian. My father's side is more Mizrahi, Sephardi, Maghrebi and Asian. When I say Asian I include all Asians, including Jews. I think a lot of people outside and inside of Jewish culture forget where we come from. Israel is not a European country. It is an Middle Eastern, Asian country on the Asian continent. It was not until I moved to Texas that I ever had to defend my Jewish or Asian roots. Apparently India, Middle Easterners, Native Americans and Polynesians are not "real Asians". Because of my brown skin when I would say that I am also Far East Asian they would laugh and say " okay". Until they saw some of my children. When I would remind them that Middle Eastern peoples are also Asian including Jews I would get silence and looks of confusion. So I would just say look it up and move on. When one of daughter's had her daughter we had a visit from the vital records specialist in the hospital. She came in and looked at both of us and asked why I listed what I listed, but did not select Asian. I simply said people have fought with us so much we just put Hispanic and Native American . She looked me in the face and said you are Asian and European. It is who you are and do not let anyone else convince you otherwise. She handed me the forms and said claim your heritage. I said all of this to say to each of you, you are all that you are. No matter which side, how much, how you were raised, etc.. You are Asian and you are Jewish and whatever else that you are. Your Jewish hails from Asia. You are beautiful, strong, unique and awesome from what I have seen. Hold onto your heritage and not let anyone convince you to do otherwise. I am multi cultural on both sides and I am very grateful. It is how Hashem formed me and I will not deny it. If I have to explain it, no problem, but I will never let it go again. Again, this is really good. Keep it up and may you all have great success. Ani Yehudi. Shalom 🙂
As a Jewish Pacific Islander I love seeing representation like this!

If I remember correctly, one of the remaining hostages in Gaza is a Chinese-background Israeli.
Amazing! As an mixed chinese american jew I totally relate to almost everything said in this video!
People are often shocked to learn that Israel is in Asia. Therefore Jews are Asian.

Jewish are ethnically Asian, so being "Jewish Asian American" is a redundancy. More like "Jewish-Chinese", etc.
I reported this video for harmful and dangerous acts
hmm why
Why? I know I’m late but please explain why?
