My adopted cousins did meet their birth mothers, one interaction went well, the others not so much.
People want to adopt to help, and because they want to have a child. It sounds like one in the orange shirt gets it, like they get that they were adopted out of love, and feel loved, the same thing with Amanda wants to be more religious which makes sense for some want that. However, you're Jewish because you're born Jewish or in this case was raised Jewish. It sounds like the one that is in the red shirt and glasses, doesn't seem to accept herself, and seems to be almost uncomfortable to be adopted which is sort of sad.
"white savior attitudes"?
The "white savior" part was a strange thing to hear. People adopt because they want a child not because they want to be heroes. Also, what are your suggestions for people who have adopted children? What would you do differently?
Amanda converting orthodox because they wont consider her jewish
how is that for "Take Me for Who I Am" ?
