I love all these films but Kick Ass is a particular favorite of mine. Thank you my guy. Wish I had found this before but it’s all good. Got a sub regardless.
I won't keep you long. I have to go somewhere and I don't think I can come back. But I just wanted you to know that getting to be around you and benicio was the best thing that ever happened to me.
You can see in the lighting as he moves her away from the guy. He moves her into physical safety, but he also moves her into a shadow to hope that she doesn’t see who he is. Then he kisses her, the light brightens, she is about to see what he is capable of. He didn’t have to go as far as he did with the guy. But, at the same time he did. His rage took over and he wanted to obliterate that guy for making him show his true violence to the innocent woman he loved. It’s actually a more tragic scene than brutal or bad ass.
Inglourious Basterds is a true classic! Tarantino really nailed that gritty, intense style, mixing dark humor with hard-hitting action. The characters are so memorable, especially with standout performances like Christoph Waltz as Hans Landa. It’s definitely one of those movies that leaves an impact.
The scene in Drive was pivotal in the movie. The kiss he gave her was on purpose because he truly loved her and he knew he was going to have to kill the gangster in the elevator to protect her...but her innocence was shattered after she witnessed the extreme levels of violence he was able to do and he knew he was going to lose that innocent love connection they had in that elevator. He knew it the moment he saw the weapon his the other guy's jacket. It was a farewell kiss.
John wick shoves his knife into him while covering his mouth and staring into his eyes. Right when the song goes, "You are my light, my light, my light."
I read tons of reviews saying he was awful in that role in True Detective. While I think it was a weak season, especially the ending, I enjoyed his character. He has a different way of playing that type of character that made it interesting.
He’s such a good comedy actor which is mainly what he’s known for but he’s genuinely good at serious roles, especially hacksaw ridge he’s so good in that movie
Dude, Black Noir in the comics is a cold stone Psychopath, definitely check out the comic, it’s really good, and the characters are more fleshed out per say.
Interesting note about the first clip from 'Kick Ass': the guy in the yellow Range Rover getting crushed is played by Dexter Fletcher. Dexter Fletcher also had a part in the movie 'Layer Cake' where his last scene saw him driving off in an identical yellow Range Rover.
He was also in the Guy Ritchie film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels as one of the main characters. If you liked Layer Cake you'll like this movie and its sister film Snatch.
@@Peanutdenver That is because Matthew Vaughn produced both Lock, Stock and Two Smoking barrels and Snatch. He is also the director/producer for Kick Ass and Layer Cake!!
In my humble opinion, Ray Stevenson is the closest we've gotten to a comics-accurate Frank Castle (Even though WarZone is an embarrassment of a movie in and of itself). Bernthal lacks the methodical, calculating and absolute cold-bloodedness of Frank Castle in the comics, maybe an earlier incarnation, a more inexperienced and less jaded and cynical version of Frank. Bernthal has simply had more time than others to flesh out his version of the character, and he's perfect for Netflix's characterization of Frank, which doesn't mean he's The Punisher as the comics make him. Bernthal's interpretation is too prone to screaming, anger outbursts, and is too pious and sanctimonious in certain times, while comics Punisher is calculating, systematic, ruthless and most of all: unforgiving. He'd bite through his own arm if it helped him put a bullet inside Fisk's head, and is not at all opposed to hit/kill women if they fit the definition of what he considers "deserving of the treatment". Ffs, Castle has declared war on many heroes just for the fact they colaborated or let certain villains escape at some point.
John bermthal is the greatest frank castle and has the skills to back it up.. the dudes a legend.. the best version of the punisher and the best adaptation of a marvel character in it's truest form.. he killa it..
It's always nice to see actors like Vince Vaughn who's usually known for comedy movies to branch out and do intimidating roles. Really liked him in Hacksaw Ridge as well. Despite what people say about Mark Wahlberg, I really love that he can go back and forth between being super intimidating to just goofy between roles or both depending on the movie like The Other Guys.
People who complain about this not being movies specifically, please enjoy the fact that King Benjy uploaded and took his time to put this compilation together. Either way, welcome back, King Benjy.

Brad Pitt was absolutely perfect for the role he played in inglorious bastards Looked ole boy dead in the face and said I've been chewed out before after shooting a war prisoner
The ending of inglorious bastards is Amazing, I love how we get to only see the outcome of the natzi symbol being put on but in the end we get to see the gruesomeness of it
The fact that Naqeeb was able to injure Black Noir, is a big feat in itself. Black Noir is the strongest in the Boys universe. So, yeah, pretty impressive.
@LibtardsStillCant SilenceMe18 I have to agree with you. In the show, Homelander is probably physically stronger than Noir. That said, Noir's combat skills make him absolutely lethal. And you are right about Naqeeb too. He was never designed be a threat to Vought or its heroes. He was a necessary tool, means to and end. I am still kinda salty about how Maeve put Noir into a coma by forcing some fucking nuts down his throat though. That shit pissed me off. He is supposed to be the stealthy ninja. And Maeve just sneaked up behind him like its nothing.
@LibtardsStillCant SilenceMe18 She sure does. She is scared shitless of Homelander. I don't think she stands much of a chance even against Stormfront in a one V one situation.
"Look me in the eyes. I wanna watch the lights go out." That's gotta be the calmest yet most badass thing you could tell someone before offing them. Who could've thought Vince Vaughn was capable of being that intimidating?
I operated a huge baler for a recycle facility for many years. It wasn’t quite the size as a car crusher but it would make bales of paper almost 4,000 pounds. It always scared the shit out of me when I had to climb in the bale chamber and clean it out. Just thinking about the machine turning on and crushing me into a pancake like that.
I remember being surprised at the violence of that elevator scene in Drive. It’s one of those movies that doesn’t desensitize you to the protagonist killing like John Wick. Whenever something violent happens it’s very sudden and brutal. I do think he cut the clip just a few seconds short though. After the elevator doors close there’s a close shot of the scorpion on the back of his jacket and the way it moves as he breathes heavily has a kind of symbolic significance IMO. Nature of the scorpion in the parable and all.
Vince Vaughan is the next to have a serious role, he needs his spotlight! He absolutely deserves it, one of those nice guys you wouldn't want to see angry, actually angry
As cool as Drive is, the elevator scene still hurts to watch. The way he kisses her is like he’s saying goodbye or something. Anyway great vid as always, and glad your back man.

John Bernthal has ruined Frank Castle for any other actor. Nobody will EVER be able to play that role without suffering in comparison.
In my humble opinion, Ray Stevenson is the closest we've gotten to a comics-accurate Frank Castle (Even though WarZone is an embarrassment of a movie in and of itself).
