    it wastes A LOT of heat through the exhaust tube. i would position exhaust tube inside so you get the heat from it. you can buy 2m exhaust tube on various chinese reseller sites. i bought mine on fruugo.

    I got the exact same thing last week, main purpose is tent heating but will put one in the garage as well. These things are really built for recirculation so the heat air intake must be routed into the heated space as well, therefore it is easier to route the exhaust and combustion air to the outside then the 2 bigger tubes inside. You will only need a basic air filter for the combustion air. That's the way Eberspacher, webasto and autoterm designed their units. Yours is a "5kw" that get possibly overpowered by the control which does not much more than burning more diesel as the heat exchanger isn't capable of much more than the 4kw its designed for, if measured the 5kw units reach a maximum of coarsely 4,5kw

    Hej,

    Diesel in definitely NOT cheap in Australia, electricity however is very affordable for those of us with PV installations. Are you promoting Vevor products as part of your future plans for the channel?

      Same here, diesel is very expensive at about 3.31AUD/Liter. But some say you can run these on Waste oil and frying grease as well.
      No, I dont have any affiliation with Vevor and I paid for the heater in full.

      Wth, you arent even at 2 dollar (australian) per liter. You have cheap gas for sure.

    I would advise that you play with it a bit before you start drilling holes (I am sure you will). You mentioned putting the outlet right there at the desk while you are making videos. The discharge air is quite hot, and there is a definite wind and engine noise if you are that close to it according to the other vids i've seen. I just bought one yesterday for the same reasons you said (backup heat). We will see how it works! good luck!

    Why not just put the exhaust through the wall and keep the unit inside? From what I read these are copies of a 5Kw design not 8 as they are marked as.. Looks like you got the good "hard" fuel line at least. 👍🏻

      U are probably right, the manual doesent state anything about any 8kw either 😄
      I just don't like the idea of having the unit inside, loud and takes up space. Going to watch some videos of others to maybe find a few weak spots and adress them right away 👍

      @@BackmansGarage I have one of these in my car and it has been running fine so far.. Got the hard fuel line upgrade as that seems important. There is no shortage of information about these heaters out there, so it will be interesting to see how they will hold up in the long run. Good luck with yours. 👍🏻

      @@carolusrex2183 does the stock fuel line melt and thats why people upgrade to different fuel line ? Is the upgraded fuel line made of metal ?

    • @carolusrex2183
      @carolusrex2183 Рік тому

      @@davehimlin2374 The hard line is made of nylon and is mainly for getting the fuel to the right pressure to properly atomize in the combustion chamber.
      There is a good video here on UA-cam explaining this called, "Chinese Diesel Air Heaters - Part 11 - Fuel Delivery"
