Planning Department can provide pre-planning advice at the cost of staff time. They do this often for developers but a lot of ordinary public are unaware of this. Saves taking a punt with your planning application as you will know in advance if your application is likely to rejected for not being in compliance with local codes.
Hi pal, thank you. Your 100% right mate this is what we did. Personally I thought it was a waste of £25. They advised us they would reject the extra 1m without paying the £25. As they want to keep the "approved" rate up, so to me this was a waste, maybe in more complex situations yes. If I was to go back to beginning I would instruct a solicitor to achieve the 3rd floor, and not fear fighting the council. Thanks pal
