Sounds like from comments the video may have been little pre-mature but all good. I recently made mistake selling my brother my 2013 lariat 3.5 eco and looked for awhile and got 2016 f150 5.0 king ranch. Wanted 2019 3.0 eco diesel but not for 20k more. Hopefully I'll like this truck as much as my last one. Anyway, on the mirrors any recommended brand for quality versus costs? As far as programming a buddy of mine got the forscan software and cable and has been programming all sorts of upgrade things on his 2020 escape such as lane centering versus lane assist so I would think the mirror upgrade could be programmed using it if needed be. Lastly I added avs lighted hood deflector and tapping into parking lights is not as easy as it used to be. Take care.
I'm sure it's possible but I'm guessing there is a module or chip that needs adding. Could be as easy as forescan but I'm not sure. Good question for a ford tech for sure.
Here it goes... On my 2022 F-150...all except the telescope will not work, and yes, when you try using that function YOU MAY get a engine light on the dashboard. Everything will work and down the road, there will be an Engine Light if you do not program it. By programming, you are telling the ECU that now you have a telescope function. Hope that clarifies. Thanks for the video and happy to know if worked well for your F-150.
It depends on the unit you purchase because not all tow mirrors have a power telescoping option. if your original specs match the replacement camera in options you should not have to reprogram it.
Are you saying if I replace the stock mirrors on my 21 XLT with power folding/telescoping tow mirrors, all I will have to do is program with Forscan? Along with replacing the mirror control switch?
You get it "reprogrammed" if you lift your truck or replace stock tires with larger sizes (I.e larger distance between ground and camera). it needs to be reprogrammed to fit the same vertical: horizontal ratio of the optical lens in the cameras to the true length captured by the cameras for the monitor display. while it does not make a large affect on the BLISS but it will affect the corners of the overhead display, and objects will appear further away.
Here we go again. Yet another UA-camr gaving out false information. Yes they are pretty much a plug and play. The mirrors will adjust, the turn signals will work. However the wraparound led driving lights will not. To get them to work you will need to do one of two things. 1. Have them flashed a a dealership. $65.00. 2. Buy a kit from Boost auto on the internet. $120.00.
Did you disconnect the battery before installing mirrors?
Did ypu disconnect the battery when you installed the mirrors?
My god - thank you. Short sweet and answered the questions. Thanks! haha
Just the way I like it. No need to drag crap out lol

I went with Ford factory mirrors the aftermarket seems to have a lot of vibration in them and just not as nice.
So I have a 2023 f150 it's the stx modle and I want the tow mirrors, which ones did u purchase
I purchased them from Ford online just make sure you get the mirrors with the same functions as yours. Several pary numbers out there.
Are they still working fine and not giving you any tech issues or check engine light? Do you fold them manually or do you have a button to fold them?
Yes have almost 13k miles on it now and works perfectly. These are manual fold. Cheap truck.
what brand are they if you dont mind ?
amd i have that truck too =(
@@JDSOutdoors
@@DanielaTrejo-jx7ky they are ford oem
@@JDSOutdoorsso question my truck currently does not have the 360 cameras but does have the blis, can you get the cameras in the mirrors to work?
Is it possible to upgrade from towing mirror without camera to towing mirror with camera and have the 360 view and all functionalities?

There are a ton of tow mirrors on eBay,, just search it

Will the mirrors fold in with a button or do you have to pull them in
These are manual
which mirrors did you end up going with?
Ford factory mirrors
Do you have the flasher and running light working?
Yes
Did your spot lights work? The ones on the mirrors..
Yea
Do these mirrors still have the spotlights built in?
Yes
What size tires do you have?
295 65 18
Mine will not power extend. I installed the switch, wiring was on the truck.

Do you still have the old mirrors?
No I threw them away. Nobody wanted them.

I am missing running and turn signal but to be fair originals did not have them. I suspect mine needs to be learned/ programmed.

Don’t forget the telescoping function. Seems that has to be programmed too.
Did not work for me.
