Regarding to your doubts about Sbc-Ubl route, the Electric Line is still pending in some areas and also doubling the track is also pending, the need to cover another 45km of Electrification and Doubling the tracks..
They say by the end of the year both the works will be completed and by March end they will get clearance from safety commission..
May be from 1st April they will start and also they have announced to run Vande Bharat express between the two cities..

I like this beautiful blue kjm wdp4 which pulled your train from Chikmagalur to Yeshwantpur. I like EMD locomotives very much as their engines sound so beautiful both while idling and running. And their speed is more faster than ALCo diesel locomotives. Whereas the electric locomotives are even more faster than all the diesel locomotives including EMD locomotives.
