  • This week we're taking a look at my Hasselblad 500C, revisiting some old images I've taken, examining my struggles with 120 Square Medium Format photography, and heading out on a little trip with my Hasselblad 500C to take some new images on Portra 400. Hope you enjoy!

You don't have to create masterpieces to enjoy film photography. 90% of the photos most of us take are bleh but we still do it for that 10%!

LONGTIME’blad shooter here; the SQUARE is THE deal. It IS harder to use. Not every subject matter flies. And that- plus all the challenges of FILM proper…makes it worthwhile.
FILTERS go a long way with film…with most NOT using them as needed or appropriate…like graduated ND filters as standard for scenics. Film has a limited scene brightness range…needs a lot of “help”. 😅
