Do you think this could be due to the shutter speed, or could another setting be causing it? If possible, could you share the exact settings you used to film this? Thanks so much!
yeah it was 100% due to my settings haha. I now use aperture priority and full area AF since i regularly hold stuff up to the camera and it has made the world of difference

I haven’t tried the zve1- but the ibis is very very good on this camera. And now I’ve sorted the autofocus settings for my use case, I’d say it’s fantastic too. I can’t fault the camera. Having open gate is very useful but also the lut on monitor view when shooting log so no external monitor required is also a big thing for me for ease. @@thejoblessfoodie4538 hhahaha It is a great camera! I have seen low light stuff and it looks fantastic, but I will try it out properly when I get the chance for it
I have the s52x and it's a great camera but I have been on this same UA-cam journey and after I bought the s52x I bought a GH5 because I wanted to force myself to use manual focus (I know manual won't work for vlogging) I put a matte box on the GH5 and a nice Cinema Lens on it and I am hard pressed to see any difference between the GH5 I paid $350 for and the S52x that I spent $2500 on. Now the S5 def has more features and being able to to record straight to a SSD is awesome but as far as a better picture, it's not really there except low light but I don't film in the dark. At this point I will never buy a new camera other than these 2 unless there is some huge advancement in camera tech. In fact if I had it to do over I would have bought 2 GH5's and spent the left over money on two matching lenses and still had money left. The lens will absolutely matter more than the camera body.
that is really interesting insight. I actually had an issue with the s5ii and had to send it back and got the s5iix which was on offer for only $20 more, so now I have the x anyway. It is a fantastic camera, there is no denying that. Right now, the kit lens seems just so versatile for vlogging and what I need, I will probably just stick with that for now.
Unfortunately it is the camera not the cards, the v90 do the same. I have an r5 and r 5c and got the lumix s5iix and it drives me nuts the delay in record start. The canons start as soon as you press record, the lumix there’s a delay. Other than that it’s an excellent camera aside from the weird first startup and the above mentioned delay in record and playback aside.
Oh that sucks, but at least it saves me some money haha. It is a bit odd that they’ve put a processor in which can’t work seamlessly at that price point. I spoke to Panasonic and showed them and they said it was “normal”. Yeah… good design haha
